Screen Readers

Alright, I think what he says is that even open-source software can become totally abandoned and discontinued due to lack of an organized and effectively working development team, which NVDA really requires for the updates to continue in all the languages it supports. And the updates becoming more and more useless with each new release, is something that I have mentioned several times already, so I do agree on that matter.

More hands doesn't mean better quality. EVery has theior code writing habits, everyone makes their specific mistakes, ETC.
If I work on Zhengdu, the master developer knows what stupid mistakes I make and he can look specifically for tyhem when reviewing my code.

Yes. Open source is very wrong IMHO. I hate this movement, not only in screen reading. But that's a different topic.

So I downloaded ZDSR and it has a horrible bug which makes it almost unusable for a hungarian. I set espeak as the default voice, which speaks in hungarian but due to ZDSR it ignores every, single, letter with acute. In hungarian there are a lot of letters containing acute and if a screen reader ignores them, we can still understand what it wants but it's not comfortable at all.

What do you mean? Can I have the example text?

Everything, it doesn't even need examples, you recognise it anywhere. It ignores stuff like á, é, í, ó, ő, ú, ü, ű.

So it doesn't read them at all, right?

Yeah, every time I try to read with the hungarian espeak it doesn't read them at all. It behaves as if there was a period there so the sentence ended, but in fact it's a letter with an acute.

Ok, sorry to get into the way here, and I also don't want to discredit you, but what makes you to be so harsh about NVAccess? If you think someone's guilty, you have to prove his or her guilt, and all the arguments I heard don't really convince me. Maybe I'm also just ignorant or something but I just don't get it.

I use Espeak and I have the letters read. Can you write me some words containing these characters?

The words I heard for the first time when I recognised this thing were: üzenet küldése, üzenet írása, várakozás. BTW which mean send a message, write a message and waiting.

Only the hungarian voice does this anyway, so if you try with english, it'll work I guess.
