Well, when I tryed to use the soft voice it was, well, soft, so it wasn't speaking. Hahah. But really it is like that.

Hi. I am using SoftVoice in NVDA. Who created that NVDA add-on? I would like to contact them. Thanks.

Even with no inflection Eloquence just doesn't sing as well as Dectalk. I rather gave up on it. I still have the tutorial I downloaded and edited.

Did you have any luck making dectalk singing? I downloaded manual from grossgang.com website but no luck I cannot understand it and also I don't understand how to use dectalk speak window. Each time I run the demo en.exe file it starts playing the demo file for dectalk. What can I do?

I'm not geeky enough to make Dectalk sing.

In the group "talking" I gave some guidelines. You can request to be invited, and a moderator, most likely Remi, will need to accept you.

Hello guys,
I like Espeak's default variant. This is what I understand the best, especially when it comes to Polish or English. I often use braille for contents in foreign languages, but Malcolm and Petra sound pleasant enough in my view. As for Russian, I don't learn this language, but once I needed a voice for reading song lyrics and I used Jurij.

Oh my god Yuri has sooo lots of problems especially on the iOs version. I mean the enhanced one. I started to use speech player in eSpeak but haven't noticed any differences between it and eSpeak NG.
#68 ArcticMoon
There's a difference, or at least, on the hungarian side. Espeak Max starts to give creaking and clicking sound above 20 speed, but seems speechplayer Edward doesn't, fortunately.

#69 Seva
Oh really? Above 20%? So awful that eSpeak NG does that!
#70 ArcticMoon
I mean, above 20 with rate boost.

#71 Seva
Ah ok ahaha!
I feel that it is already fast enough on 100 without rate boost! :D
#72 destructatron
There are also new espeak voices with speech player, and some have been modified.
#73 Mulka
To my mind, The rate boost distorts the voice too much.
#74 hozosch
Or, more preciselly, when the sonic audio library comes in use, to allow higher rates than 450 wpm.
#75 ArcticMoon
Yes, but it does this on 100 as well. I mean, with normal speech rate, you can boost it up to 85 and then it starts to
distort.

For me, all is fine until 99. Once at 100, sonic comes in, and then it sounds all bad.

Hi all!
Has anybody tried making acapela voices for nvda to make different sounds like laughing, crying etc?
I am trying it but it doesn't work.
Here is the article:
http://www.acapela-nvda.com/blog/2017/01/12/is-your-acapela-voice-laughing-or-crying-with-nvda/
The exclamations are working only with russian voice in my case.
#78 Seva
I agree actually.

#79 Seva
Oh I tried it and it's really cool!
By the way have you tried new voices with echo in eSpeak? That's hilarious!
Really!
So lots of reverb!
--Cytat (hozosch):
Yeah, the default voice sucks. If you want to try my very smooth sounding variant I created, please
let me know. I use it all the time, but not in elten though.
