Firstly, thanks to Pajper for creating this topic and looking closer to what is happening here in english group.
Second, about moderation system, moderators and their work:
I almost do not know Nuno and cannot tell anything about his personalities; the only fact that i have seen is this ban for being under 13. But not here about it, okay. I have told all my thoughts about this situation in another topic.
About ArcticMoon, I know her for not so long time but we are talking every day, almost 24x7, and I hear lots of feetback about Elten and moderation system.
The main problem is that moderators cannot do anything significant: mute forever, mute for some time, ban from group. They only can give warnings which are not saved anywhere and also modify and delete posts, close topics and maybe delete topics.
But I think that with better digital support moderators can act better. So if a moderator gives a warning, it should be recorded somewhere along with the post that become a cause of this warning. Also warnings should accumulate and ban or mute should be applied automaticaly. In the last three months i have seen that arctic moon gave about 5 or even more warnings to the same person or the group of people. And what? Yes, nothing happened. So, have they warnings or not, it does not mater because nobody cares.
Also, I think that all, yes i say all, really all this stuff with warnings, bans, even account deletion have no sense!
Because as i have seen recently, some person created another account just to demonstrate that he can create it. So what will stop bad users from creating a new account if they are banned from english group?
Yes, nothing will stop them.
We need a better registration system with some kind of person authentication. Of course we cannot ask for an ID, but we can ask for a trusted email address or a phone number.
By trusted email I mean that we should have a white list of allowed domains, like gmail.com, yandex.com, yandex.ru, internet.ru, mail.ru, list.ru, bk.ru, inbox.ru, etc.
So that if someone tries to create an account with some temporary mail service, Elten will not allow that.
About phone numbers I understand that it can be expensive for developers.

I do not know how it works in EU, but i know that some russian companies related to blind people had asked for a money grant or a continous support from other big organisations.
For example, russian TifloHost, data2data, RHVoice Labs. They have support from large hosting providers, which give them servers and domains for free because they do good job for blind communities.

But okay, this is already another topic, sorry.

So what I want to say is that yes, maybe we need more moderators, like one or two more. But also we need more digital support for these moderators, not just more raw power to run and swing with a banhammer around this group. But a controlled power with strict system of punishments, logging, proofing and abilities controlled and driven by what is happening.
So if moderator just wants to ban someone, he cannot. But if someone has more than for example 5 warnings in last month, so moderator can ban or mute.

The final thing i want to say is the following:
Make less work for moderators and they will work better.
Make less bullshit and drama on the forum and moderators will react more quickly because they will not dive into thousants of agressive shit.
Make their work easier with digital abilities and they will work better.

So what your telling me is, you warn people who try and defuse conversations because you won't read the whole post and make sure that that isn't happening. and you give the excuse that your tired to you didn't read the whole post, but you say that that isn't an excuse if you wanted to be an admin

Indeed. Sometimes I come here to hang out, but at the same time read all the posts, to see if everything is going well here. Most of the drama is happening in the conferences though, and a lot of people bring those personal problems here, on the forums. With which, sadly I can't do anything but to warn for offtopic, because I wasn't there in the conference, and if there aren't any recordings as a proof, I'm unable to act.

no, some of that confrence drama is now being dragged into the forum's, and there are 3 perpitraitors behind the confrence drama with a bunch of people influenced to go into it with no reasoning.

No cyrmax, I can't fully agree with you. We have Polish forums where a lot more is happening and the current system works. I'm not saying not to improve it, there's always room for that, but it's not the system that fails here, it's the staff. And it's not ArcticMoon's or nuno69's fault, it's just that there are only two of them.

umm for example. and i'm deeply sorry if this goes offtopic, but with arctic and padgper here it needs to be mentioned. ferre called me and others a racial slur over 200 times. another user started a pedofilia group on elten to evade ban. another user leaked personal identifiable information on elten. another person is not even a real person and refuses to admit such lies. a few others are saying disgusting things about the LGBTQ community. do i need to be even louder about this stuff?

We have access to IP addresses, HWIDs, many other tools.
Collaboration is the key. In the Polish community it looks like that when a problem is too much for moderation, they turn to me.
Only, that's right, this cooperation in the team of moderators must first arise.

But from the elten english community for example, we can. The reason I didn't ban anyone yet is the lack of communication between me and the team, and in such situations I hate deciding alone, without an administrator.

i cannot tell that i hate them but when some lgbtq12345+++++ or else letters or symbols after that writes me with their sexual wishes it is disgusting and yes i start to hate.
i had such an experience and so please do not mention them when talking with me.

And that's where the key of the problem lies. Specific arrangements and rules are needed, not functionalities in the program.
Specific information on how to report posts, appeal moderation decisions, clear rules, better cooperation between moderators.

That, shouldn't have b been said, every one should feel equal in elten, it isn't alright to talk about people in such ways because if someone took something you valued and broke it into peaces, you would feel the greef they would feel if they were to ever read your post
