Right then, I was so curious that I downloaded Zhengdu now. The download worked just fine with Edge, which I was quite surprised at. I thought it would block it, just like chrome did. As for the experience with the screen reader, it is, indeed, pretty responsive and very reliable, not like other, not well known products such as thunder and the like. However, sometimes when I start the screen reader, it just won't come on and ever since I made some voice settings changes, I only hear the screen reader's sounds, including TTS, coming from the left, which kind of annoys me. Also, I read your attached documentation, and I don't see why I should pay for stuff that I can use freely with NVDA and while NVDA can be less responsive at times, it never was so bad that it became unusable for me. Responsiveness also depends on the used tts engine. Eloquence seemed to be the fastest of the ones I like best in combination with Zhengdu. Also, I wish the screen reader could speak German. Right, I think that's it for now with my experience with Zhengdu. I'm definitely glad that I tried it out.

Ah yes, those traffic aids and stuff that is available in the commercial version. In my view, this only makes sense with a device such as the GPD Win and that's it. There are plenty of apps for Smartphones that can do the job too, which are either much cheaper or maybe even completely free.

NVDA is unusable, atleast for me, period. As for Zhengdu, the free version is slow compared to even the Youth version. I really recommend to try out the Youth Pro version. Youth Pro is almost like the commercial.

Well, as I said, responsiveness also depends on the TTS engine. If you use one core, that's indeed a bad option in terms of responsiveness compared with ESpeak or Eloquence.

Ok, just got myself the commercial version, and can't even start it. I get a chinese error dialog and when I let it translate with the translate addon of NVDA, I got "the corresponding hardware dog doesn't exist". What does it refer to here?

You need a dongle to run the commercial version. The dongle costs 232 dollars, so its not good for testing. I recommend the Youth version. It can be purchased for 26 dollars, and its a software license.

I couldn't find the different youth editions on zdsr.com, and the links you provided in your documentation don't work.

You may try visiting zdsr24.com, which is the international site, but was under maintenance when I last checked.
