Reading back through the posts, I see no reference to Apple or IOS. I'm puzzled.

It was just an example. Hozosch asked why do soundthemes require premium account to be downloaded even if they are not created by me.
I've given just an example of Apple requiring, in that case, developers to pay even if they are publishing only free software.

I think that the prices are reazonable. Don't ever close the project, friend. I follow the first optionof making it a "freemium" software.

Okay, so I propose the solution that would be accepted by adult people.
In Poland a software programmer earns about 40-70 pln per hour, that is about 10-18 eur.
I'm not working 8 hours daily on Elten, but, maybe, 4 hours. So, given the cheapest option, 10 eur times 4 hours per day times 5 days per week times 4 weeks per month times 12 months gives 9600 eur.
So if you pay this amount, I will release Elten 2.4 with even all possible support and immediate bug fixes 24/7.
Elten is developed by me for free, I have no money to pay for the server. I have no other options but to prepare premium features or to close it.

Even with replacing the PLN prices with their USA conversions, thoughts are mixed.

If the packages had more value to them for the price, then it would make more sense, a few say in said thread.

People already are disgusted by premium features. If I add more of them, I will be forced to delete them from the basic version. It is how it works.

I did spread the word about this place before, but I'm just only me.

It is not me who manages Elten social accounts. If I had done so, I would have had no time for developing Elten. But I will suggest it to proper people.

Yes, yes, on the one hand, Pajper should create packages which have a lot of options for people who want to pay. From the other hand Pajper should create free version with a lot of options because noone wants to pay.
Pajper, please, change your strategy. In september create free version with all functions, in october, fre version without key functions. I think everyone will be happy :D

Some people can't understand that money is not for the author's profit, but for maintaining the server.
It would be a good option to also have the possibility to purchase each function separately.

Yes, NVDA developers don't have to happily ask for support every time an user launches the program, they only do it while downloading and upgrading. And, yes, I supported NVDA financially: not once, not twice... Yes, I have also supported them programmatically, contributing to the source code. And it never occurred to me to complain that NV Access dares to ask for support.

The complains are not for you asking for support in the first place, but the way you do it. But of course, you chose this way because the previous campaign wasn't very successful. This, though, may have been so because there wasn't enough promotion. This is really hard indeed and I really do find many of you to be a little rude here. @ daniel, NV access actually do a similar thing with their basic training for NVDA.
