Zoom Conferencing Software

I looked on the website and didn't see anything about stereo.
#42 radio729
Hmm, that's odd.
#43 thespyde
Yep, I looked all over that thing. I mainly got sent to the profile page from the Zoom program, but I had a link to my account page and I still found nothing about any audio-related settings whatsoever.
#44 thespyde
I even looked at a help article and went to the my meetings page, still didn't see anything, ugh!
#45 railwayguy
I think, to be able to use stereo, you need to have the pro-version.
#46 thespyde
It doesn't say anything about that in the help article I read. In the prerequisites it listed all accounts are eligible.
#47 radio729
I don't have the Pro version and stereo is enabled on my account. I wonder if they changed something recently, I signed up a while ago.
#48 thespyde
The help article I read said stereo is doable on all accounts, except mine evidently.
#49 gangster
if stereo is enbled we have stereo microphone?
#50 thespyde
The other way 'round. If you have a stereo microphone, and if you can enable stereo audio, then you have stereo.
#51 radio729
Also, since Zoom lets you share your system audio, if you have stereo enabled, the thing you share will be in stereo.
#52 Seva
Sure you can!
Actually for me it is really not obvious that zoom is a bit more accessible on mac than on windows.
When you are entering the text in the chat textfield, you won't be able to read it with nvda, so you have to be really accurate.
--Cytat (railwayguy):
Can you also use it outside of the United States?

Can someone tell me stereo microphone names. I want to get one.
#54 thespyde
I wonder if it's possible to change the role in Zoom. I'm the owner, and I wonder if there's a difference between owner and administrator. If there's a way to change that, I don't see it, as well as any way to change the status of stereo audio.
#55 thespyde
And, the answer to my question is no, I can't change my role in any way, not in the free account. When I press enter on role management it comes up with verify credit card.
#56 railwayguy
That's because you have to obtain and pay for the pro version.
#57 thespyde
I know that, that's why I said what I did in my previous post.
#58 thespyde
In desperation, I tried logging onto the Zoom website with a different browser to see if I'd see anything different, and still got the same results as before.
By the way, the help article says that an owner or administrator can enable stereo audio, but not I, said the fly, and I am the owner of this account of mine.
#59 radio729
I heard about this but not really sure how it works, Somebody with a Pro account can share their account with you. I guess if that happened, you would log in as them or something.
#60 thespyde
Hmm, sounds iffy, even if I had someone with which I could share such a thing.
I wonder how old this help article I've copied and doesn't contain pertinent info is. I wonder when or if they'll update it.
