Not all sounded great to me, but 2 or 3 of them are quite useful. Let us experiment with them all and find out what we get... Thanks again... -- (hozosch): Oh well, I didn't read the entire post. Sorry. Well, maybe this helps? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vczov_2hMh8
When I was a little bit younger... Ok, at highschool, I started to play drums but when the school ended, I stopped it and now the only instrument I play are nerves of other people. :D I In Polish there is an idiom "play someone's nerves" which means make this person mad.
I thought that flute is the name of this bigger one which you hold horizontally, learn to play in music school and stuf, and a recorder is this smaller one which you play more in music lessons or something. Am I wrong? Because some names are different in English. For example, in Polish both can be called flute.
Interesting, I thought the plastic ones were just used at schools. Because I remember this one teacher teaching me and my classmates how to play one. I didn't know those flutes were used professionally as well.

-- No. In English language We know fipple flutes (such as recorder, fujara, koncovka, tin whistle), end-blown flutes (ney, xiao, kaval) and side-blown flutes, which are also knowns as transverse flutes (western concert flute, dizi, bansuri, algoza) Note: In our classical music We known recorder, which is fipple flute and western concert flute, which is transverse flute.
Ofcourse, It is more simpler this dividing of flutes, but maybe It is more difficult. In My country for example We known priečna flauta (transverse flute) and zobcová flauta (recorder or fipple flute). Ofcourse, We call another instruments of flute family píšťala, which means literally pipe.
OK. Please, delete this post of editing information. I'll edit normal post and also, delete this actual post, where is this message, dear admins. Thank You.
I speak english and for me a flute is a flute, even though I know you get different ones. I guess I’m not too particular when it comes to dividing them up.
