MODERATION!
Good morning, everyone. Despite the presence of the tag, you have nothing to fear (YET). I'm simply going to give a general caution. However, if I, or any of the other mods are required to step in, then more severe action will have to be taken. A pre-warning, as it were.
Disclaimer aside, onto the actual content
I'd like to remind you all about the regulations of this community, particularly rules 1, 2 and 5.
1. I'm glad to see that discussion and debate is happening, and I'm even happier to see people attempting to prevent others from going with shady companies, but ultimately, you have to remember that people have sovereignty over themselves and their actions/choices, and there isn't much you can do. Present the facts and let them make up their decision. If they fail to see your point, that's OK. Not everyone is going to see things your way, so move on. Further more, chastising people who hold different opinions from you isn't going to get them to conform to your point of view, even if your view is necessarily objectively correct or a better deal.
Also, this is a discussion about server providers, not whether or not Medically Assisted Suicide is moral or not. This thread has no right being so heated and passionate. Just... Lower the tempo. Drink some water, take a breath and come back. It's really not worth getting so worked up about such a non-issue.
2. Attempting to drag up dirt from elsewhere seemingly in some kind of gatcha attempt when being asked to slo your roll directly falls under deliberate provocation. It's childish and it's below all of us in this community. I expect to see better from us as a community.
Ultimately a key reason for the downfall of the original Elten was Administrative issues, but another reason for it was simply due to a certain level of toxicity and vindictiveness from the users. I don't want such a fate to befall this one, so I'm urging you all to think about what you're saying. For lack of better expression, is what I'm about to say nice? Is it befitting of how I"d like to be treated? Is it adding anything to the conversation? ETC
3. So I tried to write this without referring to any specific post or user by name, but @53, do better. Your post contributed nothing and I'm still struggling to understand what it says.
