so from what I looked at about this, why would you use this over something like apache or nginx?
lol, idk honestly. I use it cuz I like the configuration file, ikr sounds dumb, and well, generally looked nice to me. Will probably switch back to nginx when I resetup my stuff at some point.
It just doesn't need 1k pre-configurations at default. You also can have your web files where you want, so not just in /var/www. The installing is a bit annoying, but once you got it you just can go with sudo systemctl enable caddy and sudo systemctl start caddy, then if you want changes edit the caddyfile and restart it. It's just 3 line for 1 site and it's cool.

Yeah, I mean to be fair nginx is not much more complicated, and surely you can also have your web files elsewhere etc, but yeah I just know caddy and got used to it so yeah, idk, see no problem with it. Oh and it manages my SSL automaticly, that is extremely based.

yeah i have no issue with any of these, but I wouldn't swich to this when i have something like nginx or apache which is mostly the same other than the config
