Hi, everybody. This is Mackenzie here, and I wanted to talk about ZDSR, another Windows screen reader. Of course, we have NVDA and stuff, but ZDSR is one of those readers that has a lot of features and such that normally NVDA doesn't. And, of course, there is even a patch for Elton. I don't have it available on me right now, but, I mean... Yeah. So, what's your guys' thoughts on it and such? Like, I... Someone gave me a key and got me onto it, and it is awesome. I have been using it for a while now, and it's so responsive. It's, like, so fast. Even faster than NVDA usually is, and that's saying something. So, I mean, some of you may not have heard about it. Some of you have. Some of you have heard about it. Some of you haven't. I won't be sharing links. Well, I can, but, I mean, I can't. I'm not gonna share it. I'm gonna share it to the direct website, because I, um, because the main website is in Chinese, and can't, I mean, yeah, it can be translated, but the latest version isn't on the website. So, what I'm gonna do is, if someone wants links, what I'm gonna do instead is, I'm just gonna share a Google Drive or... Uh, wait transfer or something, or some, or leave me a PM, and I can get you set up. Um, yeah.

Okay, and where is a link to a web page to download the ZDSR screen reader?

I'll have to make a Google drive link to make things easier.

So, this may be veering slightly off topic. If so, I do apologize, but here's my question. So, I am aware ZDSR has quite a few functions, capture solving, alternative functionality for several applications, potentially of higher quality than what you would traditionally have. At least, that's what I have heard. Now, here's my question. You have NVDA, right? You can get free add-ons that add accessibility to a lot of functionality you wouldn't normally be able to utilize. So, now my question. ZDSR, what justifiable reason would I want to pay for ZDSR when I have NVDA that may have pretty much the same thing? Yes, maybe only to download an add-on. I get that, but also, I still do not entirely understand subscription plans. I've heard stories of people not getting what they paid for. I don't want that to happen to me. So, anybody let me know if you have experience on this, and I may try it. I don't know.

Even if the darkness grows too deep, even if it looks impossible. You are never alone. You are never forgotten. Remember that.

It's faster than nvda, less lags, you have some functions which are better than in nvda or nvda doesn't have them even with plugins, but not somany people would use for example extended clipboard. I recommend you to test it, but it still has some bugs. It's like comentary screenreader/jieshuo screenreader 2 years ago

Hi everyone. I recently found the ZDSR and tried to install it, but the ZDSR is very strange, screen reader. Because it's not understandable. I don't know how to properly use it. For now, that's all I know.

I have used zdsr since the beginning of december, it looks great, works faster than nvda, but of course it has some disadvantages, but it's good enough, to motivate me to buy a premium version and use it for years. It's really like jieshuo screenreader in 2020, but the difference between talkback and Jsr is a lot of bigger than between nvda and zdsr.
I I'm thinking about creating a group about zdsr.
Ps. until 9th of januray we can buy zdsr cheaper. normal price is 26 usd per year.
now you will pay 19 usd per year, 33 usd for 2 years and 43 usd for 3 years.

Hello everyone.
I want to give my opinion on ZDSR since I tried it about two and a half years ago.
First, regardless of it being paid and not free, this is not a problem, because it is much faster than NVDA, and this is very noticeable.
But let's remember that NVDA is first and foremost open-source and has a large number of add-ons that help users in a lot of areas.
Nevertheless, I still believe that ZDSR does not have the large community that NVDA enjoys.
But this does not negate the fact that ZDSR is better than NVDA in terms of speed, but every screen reader has its advantages and disadvantages.
However, everything I said is subject to change at any time, and it does not show my bias towards any screen reader, but the truth is that NVDA has a large community, but in terms of speed, it is not comparable to ZDSR, as the latter enjoys great speed and smoothness of use. However, being paid and having a community for developing add-ons, which I believe it supports, is not as large as NVDA's community makes it unreliable on many computers, unlike NVDA..
Let's take CSR on Android as an example. It has a very strong community, and there are many add-ons and tools for it. Therefore, it is widely adopted on phones, and this has made it superior to TalkBack. It's difficult for any screen reader to reach its current level of prominence on Android.
Generally speaking, this is my humble opinion; not everyone may agree with it, and some may.
