Goldwave is indeed very cheap. But as I said, I won't pay for something when I can have it for free elsewhere. Audacity remains the best. I found a way to cut things, wso now it's all fine. Tsunami, have you downloaded audacity?
The Goldwave is interesting, because it can open the .exe files in demo mode too. Oh. Yes, in an old time. But I don't know, how can I add vst effects there and how can I find the Audacity's VST effects.
audacity is entirely free and the short cuts can be changed to your liking. What i couldn't do before, I can do now. So, any other programme of that sort has been removed. You can even convert video files to mp3 if you install a plug in.
Of course, gold wave is perhaps a bit easier in terms of short cuts. But there's one thing it won't do, it is to give you an accessible way to record with our microphone, which audacity does. Charles said in the beginning of this thread that there was a lot of bugs fixed which is correct, and it is most accessible with NVDA. Yes, I completely moved to NVDA for many reasons, but that's another debate
1. Yes. How do u mean? How can I install the plugion for my Audacity version? I didn't find the plugins for my Audacity version. 2. 2.1. short cuts? 2.2. How do u mean the more things,w hat you said?
I don't know about 2.2.1. mate, I'm already on the last version. You should ownload the last version of audacity, I believe charles provided a link some posts before, and install it. On that page, audacityteam.org, you will find the plug ins.
Yup, a good source for everything you need for Audacity is it's home page. If you need the Lame MP3 and that other library, you should check out https://lame.buanzo.org/#lamewindl
There is a 64-bit version now. The last version ran so well on my computer but the new version, not so much. It runs once, then I have to restart my computer to make it run again. There are errors upon errors in the log file, even though I've manually pointed the program to where to find the libraries it needs. I'm so frustrated right now. I don't even know if I'll keep Audacity at this point.
I've been advised to roll back to the previous version of Audacity. I have it in my downloads folder on my old machine, so I'll have to wait till I have the patience to work with that old, slow thing. The previous version isn't on Audacity's website, so, meanwhile, I've uninstalled the new, unusable version and the FFmpeg libraries on the new machine. I have no use for the FFmpeg till I get the previous version of Audacity.
Hi all, Oh, I didn't know that audacity is still developed! I have never tried it, but I think I will do that on my linux system, for audio editing on windows I use reaper.
