This is the most terrific display of blatant ignorance I have ever seen. Sorry, buddy. Setting up windows doesn't make you qualified to throw such slander about something which has not been proven yet. Did you know about the voice calls, and the constant downloads when people browse media forums? Bandwidth is fucking expensive. And don't tell me about lowering the quality of the encoder. It does not help enough. It's still expensive. And people will complain when it's lowered. I'll remind you: you were banned from the forum for continuing this bullshit arguments, now stop it, I want you to be banned from here too.
As for you: no, you should not put an i5 in a *real* enterprise-grade server, on which I am sure elten runs. It's not a real server processor, you can't have 24/7 uptime, it does not support more than 2 channel RAM. Go and educate yourself. Fuck!

It won't be me but you who's going to get banned for such style of speech :) you are on the right way, continue like this.
You ignored most of the post anyway so I see no sense in answering you with more than an amount of text that even chat gpt or google bard understand fully.

I'd copy these posts to agnet to show folks who's going to take over the new forum if everything goes down anyway :)
But I'm not a jerk and too busy to spend my time on nonsense things. I'm sorry to see you don't get as much attention as you want from your friends or acquaintances, but this forum is not the right place for it either.

Bro pat your poonky. You're not as clutch as you think you are.

Unfortunately I know a little bit more than just setting up windows, if it wasn't clear yet. I can't code myself, but I'm able to read it decently, as well as if someone explains the logics, I'm fully able to memorise and understand what's it all about. You consider me way more stupid than I actually am :)

Hahahahaha. Fuck off. I just, no. I can't. I, you, OK. Keep on going with this, I guess. I'm done.

I like how you're being pedantic when you yourself misspelt misspelt. But anyways it was directed at sightless wolf. It means calm down, relax, you're not as cool as you think you are.

Edit:
Forgot a few words.

@790, are you OK? This doesn't seem like everything is quite all right. I mean, Arctic Moon can be sickening, but other than the pedantry she hasn't done nothing in this case to warrent such anger. I suggest you take a breather. This isn't the Sightless Wolf of recent I've come to know.

No, to be honest, I'm not. I've been angry over the past few days, and these people are annoying me. I'm giving up though, don't worry. LOL. Life has been stressful

Why shouldn't you be able to have 24/7 uptime with a normal i series processor? Sorry, but to say it in your words, that's complete bullshit. Even my 2009 i7 pc could run for 3 weeks without any problems.

No problems, uh, no. Even a a few minutes of downtime, expected or unexpected, is refunded by real server companies. Is that a guarantee you can make?
Seriousy. This platform probably runs on AWS or something and they are leagues ahead of these weird and sometimes sketchy companies in all areas. So don't argue with me about this, because you know that you are wrong

The elten server is located in a datacenter by OVH. Adleast that's what the ip geolocation sais. Elten is definitely not running on aws, nothing indicates that. I don't know why you are so over convinced that you are right in this discussion, and no, a few minutes of downtime get not refunded with any normal server deal since no provider, no provider, will ever guarantee you 100 percent uptime unless you are a giant company.

No, Elten is not using AWS or other cloud currently. I thought about it and compared pros and cons and for current demand dedicated server is enough.
We have 1 TB SSD, 128 GB RAM and 32-core AMD Epyc 7351P.
Current uptime is 298 days.

The main difference between desktop and server processors is their planned usage. Server CPUs don't need to have 4 or 5 GHz, they need to have reasonable speed, very efficient threading, low threads access times etc.

Btw, how is uptime issues related to the CPU the system uses? Sorry but all i can say to this is this is complete nonsens.

yeah I don't think anything has 100 % uptime in less you get some live patching service or your a mager company. and even then, they still go down which is why they have to use other servers if one of the servers get rebooted so things can stay up
