I wish the UK English 1 voice didn't sound like it was lazily created lmao.

A big issue with the Google tts addon: When a natural voice is selected it works as long as the NVDA settings menu is open or any other NVDA dialog. As soon as you close it it starts bugging around.

I can confirm, as for me it just plays eror tones as I'm running the NVDA beta

yep, and there inconstant, because apparently they decided that the UK voices would go in the US category, and they also made sure that some voices wouldn't download because it says that the google tts doesn't support that voice or something like that...

Anyone have the vocalizer automotive driver for nvda 2026.1?
I don't know if such a driver even exists. The latest one I have is 2.1.6-2025.05.12 and it works on 2025.3.3.

On blindhelp is only the vocalizer expressive, this is different speech engine. Automotive has some voices which are doesn't exist in expressive and cerence, e.g. Agata for Polish

nvda.ru has so much stuff I've not got round to looking for Vocalizer Automotive lol.

I don't know if that is compatible with 26.x though but you can look.

The engine still does not support all the voices we want. And if you are interested, here is Google Cloud TTS for NVDA. It requires your own API key.

Pros2000, premovox, flextalk 3.x, espeak from 2006, textassist 2.1 I think, and some other engines
