Which national anthems do you like the best?

Interesting topic. Post 32: Very same for me, I also love to hear national anthems of both teams at football matches.
I like our German national Anthem written by Hayden, as well as the french one I can sing by heart. And for me the Ukranian anthem also feels very touching, although I don't understand the lyrics by myself. Other than that, I have to say that I can't think of that many others. The UK also sounds nice, while the US sounds a bit overrated for me though.

Well I know how to play over 90 national anthemsof the world. So I probably know yours
My favorite is the UK but ownly when it's done on an organ and it has the fanfair at the beginning. Like the one that you hear at westminster abby. And I find some people play it or sing it way too fast.

I've never really listened to many national anthyms but my favorites are probably the honduran one, as wel as the one from chile, I think called el pueblo unido jamas sera vensido. I'm not sure if its still used there anymore, but regardless its still a good anthym and motivator if your into that sort of thing.

The US anthem is so hard to sing too. So many people struggle with that. The perfect anthem for the US is either god bless america or America the beautyful.

@47, the US Anthem was written in the 1770s, of course the grammar will be weird by modern standards.

All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.

The Czech anthem is really good sounding on an organ. And yes, Finland and Estonia uses the same tune.

i like Azerbaijany anthem, then British, Irish, then German, and Russian anthems.
The lyrics for Azerbaijan's national anthem were written in 1919 by Ahmad Javad, a poet who was executed in 1937 for being a "counter-revolutionary". The music was written by composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov. When Azerbaijan regained independence in 1991, it looked back to this earlier period of independence and readopted the same flag and national anthem.
Lyrics by Ahmad Javad
Azerbaijan! Azerbaijan!
Cherished land of valiant sons,
We are ready to give our heart and life for you.
All of us can give our blood for you.
Live happily with your three-colored banner.
Live happily with your three-colored banner.
Thousands of souls were sacrificed for you.
Your chest became a battlefield.
Soldiers who deprived themselves of their lives,
Each of them became a hero.
May you become a flourishing garden.
We are ready to give our heart and soul for you.
A thousand and one endearments are in my heart.
And uphold your honor.
To raise your banner
And uphold your honor,
All the youth are eager.
Cherished land, Cherished land.
Azerbaijan! Azerbaijan!

Ah yes. The anthem of Argentina is the Longest national anthem. Spanish anthems really know how to sound like a good march.

Good, but difficult question.
I like French national anthem, but German is also good, Greek too and I like Austrian as well.
I've noticed, that in many south african countries is used just one anthem (part of South Africa national anthem, Tanzania and I think Zambia too).
Also, I love Aegugga of South Korea, North Korea Aegugga is different. I've started to love It, because I loved previously Koreans.
