goldwave is really a great audio editor. just love it.

hmmm, well, it's good enough for a verry basic using, but reaper is, uh, more complicated in a good way so, oh wait, was i supposed to put the reaper thing in the next question? Ok sorry lmao

Why so many dots. Anyways, I think it's a great program, especially to get started with. But some effects like reverb are reeeeally trashy.

I using goldwave since 2016 and can say it's awesome! Before I knew other sound editing softwares I did everything on it including mixing and editing vocals or tracks xD. It sounded bad, because of my weak knowledge about mix / audio editing. I still use it to process vocals, but mostly I do it with other programs. I use Reaper for mixing and creating music, but don't like this program and i'm still bad in this subiect despite all these years. Goldwave for everything else. It's much quicker to create a commercial or do batch processing with GW than with another apps. The only exception is Protools, which is great for me, but I don't have the right equipment at home. My GW knowledge i thing is that good so i can use it without a screenreader and do everything properly.

I think it's a nice program.

not a bad program for small sound design.

Its built-in reverb effect sucks, and the general cursor movement is difficult to use. Also, the speed fader has too large of steps when slowing down.

It's simple and nice.

ok i rated it 4 because, it's so so good, like the things you can do with it are a loooot, but it's so complicated the way that it's hard to learn

3, because this program in a lot of things sucks! I don't like this interface. Maybe that's something bat with me hahah. I'm just biased, I guess, but I use it because I don't have Protools in home.

I use it primarily for music with MIDI, but it is a capable audio editor.

People have fun with it. Sadly my computer is at a grandfather capacity so yeah I didn't use it.

crashes often, and don't like it anymore

think its pretty useful for cutting podcasts or stuff. not if you wanna make big stuff like sound design but it can be a good start off.

It's recording capable, has some very nice and interesting effects, but I never really got along with many things included. It's surely quite great though, so giving a 3 there.

1, sucks, sucks, sucks in every things. Really it's herrible. A lot of bugs and things which not working properly. I have basic, very very basic knowledge about this program so if someone tell me to do something in it or i really need this i can try, but i can't imagine audio editing there. Anecdote An year ago I was looking for a place to do my apprenticeship. I called a local radio station and they said they couldn't take me on because they only had 1 heel active in the mixer and the reporters edit themselves on Audacity. I refrained from telling them that it's cclearly heardable that's the audacity xD.

Same as gold wave, though audacity has some advantages gold wave doesn't. I can say the same for gold wave.

I think, that some features may be better accessible. I think to new music features of new Audacity versions.

I love this program, it's easy to learn. It has a lot of cool effects.

If you have money, buy Mac and control eg x touch or something else and Protools. It can make your life easier.
