hello everybody this is talmadge or as jan renamed me many many years ago tal and uh jan i could hear you a lot better when i was in the uh in the room where you're recording it and not so well in here i can hear it but not as good as i'd like to so we may have to turn your microphone up a little bit anyway uh we are jan and tal and we got married on uh may the 13th they made this when was it jan made these yes it was may the 13th may the 13th 2017 and uh i said i wasn't going to do that again and i i i didn't realize what i was going to have to contend with in other words i didn't know i was going to find miss jan again five months after i uh did the uh long distance memory post about our getting to know each other at guide dogs anyway just wanted to say hello and glad to be here

So a short follow-up. We reconnected in 2009, on July 6, 2009, and that was 40 years after we were together, or in the same class, at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael. So 40 years later, we reconnected, and if you do the math, you'll see that we lived together from 2009, July 6, and, well, we didn't, we, I went to California in October, October 1st of that year, July 6th, we reconnected, and on October 1st of 2009. I went to California. She came to see me in Louisiana a couple of months before that, on September, no, one month before that, on September 4th, and so we, we've been together all that time, and we finally got married in, on May the 13th. The reason I have trouble, I don't think, I feel like I've been married to her a lot longer than that. I told her from the beginning that I was, as committed then, eight years before we were married, as I would be if we were married, but she wanted to get married, so married we are.

Well, well, well, well. It takes two people to want to get married to get married as we had a nice reception. It was a good wedding. And the food was incredible. The marriage was good, too, and still is. What else do I have to say? Not a whole lot. I hope this is... Johnny, I'm too young, but we're going to get married. Remember that old song? Except it was Johnny, not Danny. I'm sorry. No, I don't remember that. I didn't mean to interrupt. You always mean to interrupt. Oh, here we go. Well, anyway, we had fried chicken at the wedding. I mean, it was a reception thing. We had fried chicken and cornbread and biscuits and delicious cake from... Macaroni and cheese. Oh, yeah. Mac and cheese and the best mashed potatoes ever. Everybody raved. Wine and champagne flowing. Well, wine and champagne. We had that rosé. Remember the little bottle that had the neat inscription on it? Was there no champagne there? No. We don't like it, so I decided... Well, we did the right thing. So we had rosé. It was white. It was good. I mean, people didn't bitch and complain and say, we have the champagne. I already told Andy, who's a big fan of champagne. I don't know about you, Shelly, that we aren't having it until there. Andy's her goddaughter. You can't just assume they know who these people are. That's right. I can't. But I don't care. And Shelly's our next-door neighbor. And I'm sure there'll be a quiz, everybody. Richard, my brother, did the officiating. He sure did. He did a wonderful job. And he and his wife stayed with our friend, Jan. And my best friend from ever came. And my best friend from when I was two. And it was a nice time. So that's past, what, a year ago? A year ago, February. And she was a... Lovely person. We were friends since high school and roommates and all kinds of stuff. We got married. I was married before, but my husband died. Not now. No, no. He's still around. Thank God. I don't want to go through that again. Anyway, what am I talking about? No. Never mind, everybody. I think we're going to disappear from this forum for the moment. Yes. This is still called test, test, everybody, test, hello. Now, what do I do? I hit... Let's see. Did it stop? No. Oh. Well, well, well, Miss Mara Kelland, Dr. Kelland, I didn't know you collected semi-precious stones. What do you know? Maybe braille displays, yeah, and interesting apple-y things, and instruments, but semi-precious stones is a new one to me. Mara's a great person, everybody, in case you all don't know that anymore. I mean, anymore, in case you don't know that at all. Anyhow, nothing much is happening here at the moment. My sisters and I, I have three sisters, and we have a Zoom thing every week, and that's happening today. So I'm going to get out of here and let you other folks talk and get to know each other, and goodbye for now.

let me do this again this is my second recording because i was talking a lot of crap on the first one i'm eva i'm charles's wife the charles you heard before on a few posts back and the speech that you heard in the background he when he made his recording that was mine um we've been married since uh march the 3rd 2015 when he moved here to germany to live with me and um i am uh i am in a wheelchair i have been since actually since birth i have had infantile cerebral palsy is what it's called officially and then i had a stroke in 2011 before that i was playing the flute with all kinds of flutes ocarinas and you know recorder and all kinds of flutes with a passion but not with enough proficiency to be to call myself a musician so now that i can't use my hands properly anymore my left hand i have reverted to either singing or playing the harmonica because i can hold that in my uh right hand mostly i can also hold in my left one and do stuff with the right hand and um i have several harmonicas now and um yeah i won't i won't go too much into that it's boring for non-musicians or people who aren't interested in in that particular musical instrument but yeah if you like of course you can contact me and such and yeah so sending this off uh hopefully before i do i will um re-listen again and let's see
