Zoom Conferencing Software

Thanks for the tip. I did this, and now when I actually use Zoom I can implement better sound, yay!

Yes, just don't remember to turn on original sound every time you enter a meeting, cause it's not saved.
#23 thespyde
I figured I'd have to do it every time, but at least the option is there now. Good tip!

I cant create account don't know why.
#25 thespyde
The account is very hard to create, at least it was for me. There were two CAPTCHAs when I signed up, one could be skipped, but I didn't know that till my account appeared to be made, then I could download the Zoom meeting software.

If you have a Facebook account or a Gmail address, you can create an account that way.

For me, I couldn't log in with Facebook as I don't remember my Facebook log-in details. I have it to where CCleaner doesn't kill my Facebook cookie so I stay logged in. I use the mobile site and log-in links usually sends someone to the main site.
Meanwhile, on another subject, which probably doesn't mean a hill of beans, but Zoom puts an unused thing in the registry, something about a Zoom phone call, every time I run Zoom, and CCleaner gets rid of that the next time I run CCleaner.
Happy Zooming, I still haven't actually used Zoom for anything, but I keep it up to date just in case.

Just open zoom program and click "sign in with google" that's it :)
#29 thespyde
I don't have a Google account.
#30 thespyde
Besides, I had to get the account before I could get the software.
#31 railwayguy
I think you can make an account or register on the Zoom web site.
#32 thespyde
Oh, that's what I did, and eventually succeeded. It wasn't the easiest thing I ever did. I hope Gangster figures it out.
#33 hermis501
Hm, just sign with your gmail if use one. It's easy procedure, and no, you don't need registration to download the program.
#34 thespyde
I did try to get it before setting up my account but it didn't work. I don't have gmail.
#35 gangster
I did, Thanks for tips.
#36 thespyde
I finally figured out how to uncheck that checkbox for the waiting room, and thanks for that tip as well.

I just wanted to post something about my first Zoom meeting. It was with my older brother, and it went flawlessly. The invite from me went very easily for him. He doesn't have an account so I was a bit worried, but that went very smoothly.
It turns out original sound was too distracting for him so I turned that back off. He could hear too much room noise when that was turned on.
The audio was in mono, even though my internal mike is a stereo one, and not nearly as good as on Skype.
#38 radio729
Zoom can do stereo. You have to enable it in your account settings.
#39 thespyde
I'll see if I can find it. If it's on the website I probably won't be able to do anything about it.
#40 radio729
Yes, the account settings are accessed from the web site.
