Okay, if the developers took their hands off the project, they should 1. Abandon it and make it free, 2. Not let it float around and stagnate because users will crack it. There will always be people who have so a damn lot of money that they don't even know what to do with it, so they'll spend an awful lot of bucks on a single voice that's even low quality, but that's not the decision of others to determine if you have enough money for something.
Honestly, I would have enough money for it but I know how it is not to have enough, I've been there. I was also a kid and I know how it is when you don't have a credit card and your parents are so against audio based things because they don't really understand the way they work. I know how it is when you can't spend a single cent on a game or anything because even if you work for it, your parents take care of your money and you can't do anything. Fortunately it's not the case anymore since I have an own credit card so I'm already able to spend on anything I'd like to. But here's the thing. With Jaws, you get all these things free, and even Jaws itself is free in Hungary for example. If you really wanted, you could cheat it all the way, let me explain how in theory. You start up Jaws, download a vocalizer voice, quit Jaws, start up NVDA and there you go, you can use those vocalizer voices which you dowloaded for Jaws. If they really cared about cracking and stuff, they would have fixed this a long, long time ago.

Yes, the fact that literaly two working eyes are paid is a shame. I know that they invest a lot of work in Zhengdu and Jaws as well, but people donate to NVDA as well and thy can keep their work up. It's absolutely true that the recent updates aren't the best and they don't introduce nothing new than just breaking addons, but those addons get updates as well so nothing to worry about.

Wait, those voices work with NVDA? How is that possible? I know there's an addon on a very certain website which I won't post here but this jaws exclusive driver can be used with NVDA as well?
of course they can be used, you just need an up to date vocalizer driver.

I explained how it works, Enes. You just need to install an up to date vocalizer driver to NVDA and it works as intented. You might need to change the pitch a bit because for example the hungarian voice is a bit higher than average, don't know about others though, I don't use vocalizer, just know it works.

i think the normal pitch is 33 for NVDA. I guess you refer to the same driver I have in mind. I'm NOT going to post the site here. I don't have the voices installed to be used with Jaws but it's NVDA addons which I got.
Yes, I'm referring to that one you're talking about, Hozosch.

This is essentially the same driver. NVDA's something most of yu call a driver is actually a python client for the actual driver. So there's nothing illegal or shady about it

But I got the voices as add on packages, I didn't use the Freedom Scientific setup programs of the various voices to get them running with this driver, client, or whatever.
You install the driver and it detects all the voices you download for JAWS? If that's what you mean, I got that already so no need to emphasize you had explained it before. I just thought you would have to install the voices as NVDA add-ons as well. Still, you're responding to and communicating with me and that's something. -- (ArcticMoon): I explained how it works, Enes. Well, I just tried to see if my installed vocalizer voices I've got in NVDA show up in Jaws, they don't. -- (nuno69): Yeah, but the addon installs them somehow in the system and register it with the VE system driver it seems
