Its interesting what they could all make with eSpeak, lol wow.

hmm you can in a way, just don't set new variants but eloquence, in comparison to eSpeak, is already great enough with reed.

Oh, now they're almost all klatt, this is not what I wanted.

#428

The previously non-klatt variants are still there so I don't get the point of this statement to be honest. One should always be able to pick whatever variant one likes so those extra klatt variants shouldn't be annoying.

Oh? for me they were replaced with the most recent link.

#430

Uh, don't know about that. But most of those klatt variants were not made by me already. @gregodejesus offered and tried to make klatt versions of my variants but then I preferred to preserve the non-klatt ones as well, so discarding them is not something I want either. So attached is my !v folder with all the variants it contains.

The variants are interesting indeed

When I got my first computer in 2011 i used Jaws with Agata Polish Voice.
About 2013 I switched to the Ivona Ewa. In 2014/2015 I switched to the ivona Jacek. About 2016 when I started using NVDA I switched to speechplayer in espeak, variant klatt.
In 2019 I switched to the standard eSpeak variant Sandro.

At the end of 2022, I got the Apollo synthesizer and used it for about 4 months.
Then the Apollo started to break down (something with the power supply, I think) and I put it aside until it was repaired.
When I had Nokia E72 i used first Nokia Screenreader with Agata voice, second Talks with Nokia TTS voice.
In iPhone SE i used first Zosia vocalizer and second Ewa compact voice (Vocalizer).
I have Xiaomi now, and I use the software version of Apollo, which based on RHVoice engine. Unfortunately, the software version of apollo sounds much worse than the hardware version and does not speak so clearly.

#434

But what do you use for english.

#435 Edytowano

For english I use a Polish espeak voice. I know, this may seems strange, but for me is normal.
When I use an English synthesizer, it's either the British Daniel from Nuance or the Emma from Ivona.

I used also Apollo sometimes, but put it aside as I wrote.

Apollo sounds like something old, not sure if I heard about it

This is sample. Sorry, this in Polish.
When I fix it, I will upload a sample of the English voice.

#438

lmfao this sounds very bad. I can't speak a single word polish but I dout this is any good hahah.

This is a synthesizer from the 90s, when there were probably no human-sounding synthesizers yet.
My Apollo have four languages: English, Polish, Russian and German.

#440

oooo german too? I'd need to hear the example, would be interesting. Well I don't prefer vocalizer. I use eloquence.
