I don't have anything against training animals in a service capacity because they can still be your mate or whatever. I'm against people who just plan on having them as an ornement basically.
Here's a next one, and it's probably my hottest take.
Educational books should be free for everyone to read. In an ideal world, the UN would compensate those who wrote uch books. Knowledge should be freely shared and not gatekept
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.

I do not believe in intellectual property rights at all so I agree.
Chesterton, G.K. "When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing; they then become capable of believing in anything."

#23

Well, don't get me wrong. I don't exactly like it, it's, well. Ok. I wouldn't pick it if I had another choice.

To post 6, I get your point. I used to think the same. Like, chicken soup with chocolate? strange! But, like you said, it's actually not as bad as it sounds.

another hot take, especially among the people around here. I feel like Coffee doesn't actually taste good, people just pretend to like it or only like it for its effects. I feel the same way with beer, but I don't think that one is really a hot take.

#25

You learn to appreciate it's taste over time, that's all it is.
I didn't like seafood, now I kinda do and that's as simple as that.

I truly LOVE coffee!

@21 got what you mean about service training now, and I fully agree with that. Also like the free education thing.

Time to flood the zone with radioactive takes.
Abolish the UN. Abolish Nato. Repeal all IP laws. Repeal the civil rights act of 1964. End the Fed. Criminalize abortion at all levels without regard to the fabled exceptions. Begin dissolving The United States. Permit secession explicitly in the constitution.
Here's an additional one that didn't quite fit on the list. It is not immoral to deny the holocaust.
Chesterton, G.K. "When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing; they then become capable of believing in anything."

You gotta explain the last one to me pls. How can you deny Hitler killing 6 million people, including disabled ones like you?

#30

I don't deny it personally.
Chesterton, G.K. "When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing; they then become capable of believing in anything."

#31

Ok, why is it not immoral then?

#32 Edytowano

For the same reason it wouldn't be inherently immoral to be skeptical of or to outright deny someone's account of a traumatic event they claim occurred to them.
Chesterton, G.K. "When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing; they then become capable of believing in anything."

#33 1 polubienie

That reason is? And you compare the confirmed death of 6 million people to a traumatic event or do I misunderstand you? I think I have a language barrier issue here butnever the less, I disagree.

#34

The issue is from the pov of a holocaust denier the intentional slaughter of millions at the hands of the Nazis is not confirmed, in the same way that from the perspective of a trauma skeptic the event being called into question isn't confirmed. You have an issue with disputing the former, but seemingly have no objection to the latter even though the 2 are identical in kind. They only differ in the scope and scale of what they deny. But the same principle would apply to both no?
Chesterton, G.K. "When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing; they then become capable of believing in anything."

#35

For language barriers, since you are a sponsor, you can use ctrl + t in here. It can really help sometimes.

#36 Edytowano

It's funny because these are the same people who'll say facts over feelings.
Here's a fun fact though.
If you take any 6 year period between 1972 and around 2014 or so, the US aborted more babies than the holocaust. I think between 2000 and 2006, the US aborted close to 9 million. Think it's 8.5 or 8.6M.
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.

#37

Pro lifers, would it be immoral for me to deny or be skeptical of this?
Chesterton, G.K. "When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing; they then become capable of believing in anything."

Denying the holocaust? That's outright fucked. What do you gain from denying to acknowledge the extermination of millions of people purely because of their ethnicity/roots? We know exactly how the nazis viewed jews and how millions of victims died at their hands over the period of the war. What's next, are we gonna say that Gestapo didn't exist?

Now maybe something stupid, idk if it even fits, but as for me, here goes.
Games outright taking half good sounds from all these older audio games arn't enjoyable. I wanna see more effort in that. The codebase and it's looks are second priority for me, but this controls the whole player experience.

In response to 38, from all we know from reading the AfD's party manifesto which is more honest than what they claim on social media, that's exactly what will happen again if they are taking control. Not just jews, but also people from abroad or any other people they think are unworthy.
