What's your controversial take? Drop it below. I'll start with mine. The whole trans thing never made sense to me — it's not rooted in biology and reality. Plus the suicide rates are way higher, we shouldn't be treating this like it's normal and healthy. I'll respect anyone as a person, but I'm not going to pretend I agree with it. Also, awareness months are useless. Breast cancer awareness month? Who isn't aware of breast cancer? And we don't need a month for everything — no gay history month, no black history month, no women's history month. If it's important just teach it normally. Keep it constructive and respectful in the replies — curious what yall's takes are

I moved it to the politics forum just because some people will end up posting political takes, but you c an still feel free to discuss general contravercial takes in here. So I'll continue. I think pizza without pineapple tastes strange and incomplete. The sweetness offers a contrast to the saltyness which balances it off nicely. I think a lot of people in this community are not aware of their privilege, but will simultaneously lecture to others about equality and privilege. It showsup in a lot of really subtle ways that you don't notice unless you either don't come from a position of privilege or you're just very intune withsuch things. EDIT: I don't think we shame people enough for their unsanitary practices. Like, in Trinidad, if you don't wat to drink after someone else from the same bottle you could be labeled gay for that. Being rabidly pro-gender transitioningis a take that only a privileged person could have.

Regarding the Pineapple on Pizza thing. I tried it a few times, and rather like it, but for me, it's not a must. And usually, I don't do it at proper Italian Restaurants to maintain my dignity amongst Italians. So, I'll often go with Garlic instead, which I absolutely love.
I actually tried it too. It wasn't as, well, horible as thought, but it's just, kinda weird. Like apple on a bun or something. That sounds off and it is.
It's funny actually, it reminds me of a camping place I was to in italy, which has a restaurant too. And it is called hawaii. So, what is called pizza hawaii there is not what you'd normally expect from that name, but rather the House-speciality pizza, which doesn't contain pineapples.
To post 6, I get your point. I used to think the same. Like, chicken soup with chocolate? strange! But, like you said, it's actually not as bad as it sounds.
I do like pineapple on pizza generally but saying it's incomplete without it is bold to say the least.

I mean, that's the point of the thread, no? And since we're here. I think steralising animals, I.E, spading or nutoring your cats and dogs is cruel and should be classed as animal abuse. I also think giving away the offspring is also cruel, unless they live nearby to where they can see each other or you give them away really young. I also think specialised training services for dogs is cruel. You should train your pet as a friend, not as a thing that needs to be forced into compliance.

@13 Spicy and pineapple is the trick! Try it with jalapenos and bacon on a pizza, and you're good for life. It even belongs on grilled sandwiches, and if you want to get really crafty, it can be made to belong on loaded tater tots.
