Voting should not be for all, I'm not in favor of excluding women wholesale but I fundamentally reject the premise behind universal suffrage.

Only because of universal suffrage we have tools that we can discuss those things now. Without our vote and some form of democracy, the big tech companies could easily just restrict their products to the military

#243

You think that the democratic process is the mechanism by which genuine change is effected? I reject that notion and consider it a myth.

#244

If it is a myth as you say, why did we see the biggest improvement in the quality of life only after more or less universal suffrage was granted?
If you can't vote, it also makes it possible for the state to tell you which jobs to do, to which school to go etc. I'm not so sure that you'd love it.
Ask people in eastern Europe how they felt under communism, when the state decided all for them.

I am a libertarian, not an authoritarian statist.

But universal suffrage is compatible with libertarianism. I consider myself a left libertarian. The safety nets of the state should be there when needed, but I am also for the opt out system where people don't have to take them, if there's a better option.

#247

No it's not. The state will always expand if every low information citizen has a say in it.

My position is 1 I don't want woman to vote sense they tipicly vote in favor of open borders and soshal programs and the other side of it is the idea of what states were made to be can't be a thing if the constitution tells the states who can vote. So part of my 19th aposition is simply that I don't think the constitution should tell states who they should let vote, if states want universal suffrage thats fine I just won't live there.

Women aren't blamed that you don't work and are frustrated right now.
Also, if you're against social programs, please hope that you will never need an emergency surgery for something and the only available hospital wants an exorbitant amount of money.

And as for your question about my views on the effectiveness of democracy. I am an elitist on this question, which is to say I do not believe democracy is the process by which genuine change is brought about in politics.

I'm not against social safety nets, I'm against the state running them.

@251 thats my position too. I would like to ask @249 what you are trying to say. It is well known that woman vote for soshal programs in grate number compared to men along with open borders so its not blameing them, and tbh I am not mad at them for it I would just rather they not vote largely because of that.

@244, I think your timeline isn't lining up there. Can you expand more on this? I'm not sure how women not having the vote would make companies feel free to restrict their stuff to the army.
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.

I just read the first half of this thred, I sware people who say that people cast spells on the population aren't to far off when I see these unreasonable and super emotional topics and arguements that don't efect them.

#255

I just hope that blind people, at least the ones that I see in social media, never enter politics.

#256

Honestly from this thread I can't disagree. Most blind people I see are either insane Commys out of touch with reality, or Hitler. I don't know how much of what these people say is out of genuine conviction or purely out of shock factor. I think it's a mix of the two, unfortunately.
That being said, you never answered my question.

I think Hitler was right in some of the decisions he made. I too believe in living a health conscious lifestyle and maintaining healthy hydration levels as part of that.

Not sure how healthy is being on drugs all the time, but Hitler was indeed.
