So PlayPalace is this new game sweet that is currently in beta and has games just like QC and RS including uno and the rest of them. But it's said to be open source.

This thing also has a forum just like QC as well. The games it has are, 3 Card Poker, Blackjack, Mile By Mile, which I'm assuming is like 1000 miles? IDK, Ninety Nine, Pusoy Dos, Scopa, and UNO) again like QC. Dice games, just like qc you have Farkle, Pig, Threes, Toss Up, and Yahtzee)
In the bord games section you have chess, luto... whatever that is... and Tic Tac toe.
And Cards against humanity... And you have this Cu thing... Fling smash? Huh? What is this... Pirates of the lost seas, again similar to battleship probably... And I have played it first hand.
And Rolling balls. Pinball I'm assuming.

it's a good game, it's like TableEx without adds. But sounds for certain games are missing

It's a huge pity the game doesn't have many players. I logged in at daytime and there were 3 players online, including me. But it sounds promising!

Well, I guess that is the purpose of the online play thread xd. Could set up meetings for games and stuff for the folks on here at least.

I think its gonna really take off once its open sourced and people can start coding their own games and hosting servers.

well there was once 20 players online, but that didnt last long. I have also noticed in the past 2 days or so the player base has been extremely dead and low unlike a week ago, for example, I am currently the only one online at this very moment

Does Play Palace has voice chat?

not that I know of

the next update of play palis has been released. it has a lot of interesting features like table chat, and a buffer system. this also seems to have increased the playerbase. you just need to redownload the game to be ale to play since there is no client updater

Well, I heard the shutdown was pretty sudden and honestly idk if it was called for already. There are some souns not used just laying there, some things to be fixed, then the entire thing with versions for Mac and all that...
I think having no central client for people who can't host such things is stupid anyway, makes them needing to go back to qc or rs. But maybe it's just me again having unpoppular opinions.

Meh the thing is just haredcore vibe coded, and not well managed at all. Some random announcements on a random Discord server, suddan changes, like the shut down was just like, kinda made me feel like they've lost interest and now open sourced it because. But yeah idk never really taken off for me even though it's OSS and modern and all that crap. Selfhosting would surely be an option but currently, idk why really?

The thing I did love about it was 1000 miles and all the sounds. But honestly, even the table system was messed up. Like tf? They wanted to fix all those bugs, idk if they ever did.

Lol it was clear from beginning that once it gets open source the main server was going to shut down, they said that. Just the fact it happened so suddan without beeing in a real, state for it really implied what I've said above imo.
