I'm rather appreciative that more effort is put into this, as I see usecases for most of these things.

Sorry, but you really think this is going to attrackt sighted users? Well, you've never seen this GUI so fair enough. Spoiler, na. Or not any interesting for sure.

And in case this is misunderstud, the app looks pretty meh, visually. I have no idea why in the world a sighted user would limit themself to something like this when we have Instagram, SnapChat, TikTok, Be Real, and 50 others.

I still see wasted time that could've been spent fixing Tweesecake instead. A platform where we already have a nice, sighted user base, but wellp, there are enough blindies paying to lift the new limits.

Yeah I skipped over your other 2 posts since ctrl e exists. But I like ramblio's new 2.0 beta so far, of course there are bugs, but that's to be expected.

You have to attract users, that's true. But a dedicated blindy house will never attract them, that's for sure as well.
I used Ramblio for a few months but honestly the content there never kept me there. I felt like as if I was in those support houses where they feed blind people for some money and they let them live there. We have such places in Hungary and what is going on there, is cringe to say the least.
It's as if they lived in a totally different reality than we do.

Maybe because some peple have something called interest? It's like, why would a sighted person bother to talk to a blind person. Not everyone has to be an ideot.

I do agree that twececake should be more of a priority though. Then again, the sighted users I do know IRL have never even heard of mastodon. No wonder tbh. For me that space also just looks like an inclusive ranting space with some tech insite in between.

Be so for real lol sighted people are not going to use a platform mostly populated by blindies.
It's not negativity it's a fact.
Also, how are sighted people even going to learn/hear about it?

I'm simply trying to see the positives rather than just bashing all the effort.

Maybe I'm just one of the lucky blinds here, but at this point I have more sighted friends than blind ones. My best friend is blind, and besides her I have a few blind friends, but I'm mostly surrounded by sighted people. Maybe it's because I've always studied in normal schools for the sighted, I don't know. But your sentence about sighted people would never bother to talk with blinds is not true at all.
It also depends very much on people. I have a good sighted friend who once told me he treats my blindness as a personality trait that he doesn't have. He explained it with hair colours. His hair is black, mine is brown. He is sighted, I'm blind. And that's all. He jokes with my blindness just as I do. Sometimes he says sorry but I think it's just a habit and he automatically does so. But I really like his attitude about blindness and honestly that's why I haven't lost hope in people yet.
On Ramblio though, there will never be such people. Because the atmosphere the community has built up over there is just... Cringe to the mainstream world to say the least. Sighted people don't want to know what TTS you use, how loud your Voiceover can speak while you read the Bible or eat your breakfast, how close you can speak to the microphone without eating it, what a fancy stereo microphone you have, the fact that you never think about what to say before recording so your rambles contain minutes of silence or thinking, shall I continue?

Why should I make something better of which I already know it won't succeed. I make it better in not going to fail doing it. Also I'm not going to make this the defend Mastodon thread but then you haven't looked in the right places either. Yes, it is inclusive, that's literally the fucking point, everything should be inclusive, but there especially lots of germans on Mastodon who just, exist, post about their life, as it should be. You just have to want to engage, and not just wait until everything is served to you at 3 clicks.

How so? Sighted people are more trusted with the concepts of a forum. We have IOS and Android clients as well as the web site too, so how exactly?
