Hi, so fully aware that a quite similar topic exists in the Elten English community I wanted to create this one to not only share remixes and own productions, but also experiences, tips and tricks about both any hard- and software - such as digital audio workstations.
There is a quite broad spectrum about music editing and creating. Hence, not everyone does like the same genres, so I ask you kindly to respect the other's favorites. Despite that it's of course encouraged to give the original creators or remixers that posted a song encouraging and constructive feedback. Please not just shut them down, the process of learning how to produce music is a really frustrating one as I experienced myself.
Lastly, please do not share songs or remixes you didn't actually made, and - if possible - create a small text post including a few details, such as wether the shared piece is a remix or original - self-produced - song so we can appropriately give feedback basing on what we know. Also, if it is a remix it would be nice if a YouTube or Spotify link for the original could be included in said text posts. And unless AI only was only used for generating a small subset of the midi notes, AI generated songs are not permitted in this thread.
Also, just a little reminder: The voice limit on this forum is 2 minutes and 30 seconds. That are 150 seconds, 75 bars or 300 beats on a tempo of 120 bp/m. If your song is longer than that, you might want to share it as an attachment. Additionally, Elten downgrades the quality by quite a bit, so either way it might be word that. If your attachment is to large, you either can re-export it with a different Bitrate or downgrade it manually with an encoder such as FFMPEG. The average ear does not hear the difference between 120 kbps and 192 - or even 256 - kbps.

That being said, now to myself: I'm using Ableton Live 12 since about four months. I first started with simple and little 1-3-instrument loops and later moved on to aranged musical pieces. My favorite genres are Phonk, a bit of Hartstyle and EDM/electronic music. That's quite a broad genre, so keep in mind my favorite artists mostly are Alan Walker and Avicii. If you would like to know anything else, feel free to ask and I'll happily answer any outstanding questions!

I'm looking forward to all your posts and constructive feedback and discussion rounds!
@mods/@admin Feel free to move this into technology if this doesn't belong here.

Attached in a voice message is - as far as I think - my best so far produced Phonk beat that infact was created today.

Oh, that's pretty nice, I mean, um, I, uh, respect that, obviously, I mean, as well as for me, I, I enjoy, uh, rock and basically all kinds of music, there isn't too much, I mean, I used to listen to, uh, dubstep, but then I got tired of that, so, I mean, occasionally, if I feel like it, I listen to it, but I don't, I don't really listen to it anymore, I did when I was a little kid, but it just got boring for me, very boring, but I don't judge, so yeah.

I would like to figure out how to do that stuf for singing but makeing beets not really my thing,
I realise I know little compared to what all is true, I try to think, and the one thought I can no longer be swaid on is that god is very real. That being the case I will try to live in accordence to the way christ intends for us to act. Time to give up the weel.

Chiming in with a little EDM thing I made. Everything is self made except the synth melody you hear at the beginning and throughout the song which is sampled. Also the rises, uplifters, downlifters, kicks and snares are external samples while the hi had is from the Core library in Ableton, and the piano is from the Grant Piano Ableton pack. Enjoy, and please give me feedback!
Edit:
The synth at the second part with the kicks is also external.
Also hit me up in DM if you want a link to a better quality version on Dropbox. Elten downgraded this really hard.

This sord of I like to move it enspired thing was my first ableton production in demo mode after being able to actually save things.
Ps: I have no idea why the heck voice messages now get cut off at the beginning but well. The file itself was to large.

Mark, that was actually pretty cool. And I actually know that song, that's the song that they've used in the Penguins of Madagascar, I think, if I recall. So yep, just wanted to say good job on that, Mark. No criticism, well, it is a criticism I guess, but it's a good criticism, but not judging.

Thanks. Yes you're correct. I loved that movie/the audio drama version back as a child.

I should point out that this wasn't intended to cover that song. I was just feeling like using that melody as a sorda starting point and just build stuff on top as a creativity outlet.

Well, no mater what, it was very good. And also I use to listen to that movie as well, also when I was a kid.

Yesterday I felled the erge to compose or play something, and I was just browsing through sounds. I found this old little Piano track which appeared to be something by samsung. I liked it and started to play an e guitar melody to it. I was at that point just composing my own little track with this, looped this at the parts it fit in, played a bassline, and thought some other Samsung sounds on top, such as a keyboard typing metronome or some old notification sounds in the same cord wouldn't do bad either.
Here you go, enjoy what I got. For my first mix like that, I think I did quite well. But you're the judge. Lmk your thoughts

You realize "your" sound themes aren't the only place where he has gotten these from though? lol

rudolf

I actually forgot wether you can extract sound themes and receive the raw files on your own but I doubt that. Anyways.
