Hi all!
I like watching audiodescribed movies, but the only English movies I have watched were series from Netflix such as stranger things.

Hey all!
Thank you for all of your recommendations about where to find movies with audio description!
I like watching movies with audio description in Russian andEnglish.
Also does anybody know if it is possible to find movies with german audio description?
That would be great for my German language practice!
I tryed to find such on netflix, but I couldn't find any movies that provide audio description in German.
I am watching the series that's called "Nicos", it is for German learners but I couldn't find any audio description for it also.
So what is the resource for finding such?

I like watching movies with audio description, but it depends on the narator doing the description. Some movies may be fantastic, but sometimes, the narator doing the description can destroy the movie.
#17 Louisa
I agree there. I've noticed some give more details than others.

Then again, if there's too many details, it is really annoying, but maybe that's just me.
I feel like there's too much about colours, meaningless body language cues, or some other weird visual nonsense on the screen which I can't interpret as significant in the same way that a sighted person would due to pure lack of visual stimulation.
I just simply don't need it, won't make any difference what so ever.
Plus, for me it's the action, the crazy stuff that needs to be detailed, miniscule details that someone brushes a bit of dirt from the hair of another person is ridiculous, and totally the dialogues don't have to be interrupted or quietened down for it or anything of the kind.
#19 Louisa
Personally I like that kind of detail. I've always found it interesting. The action doesn't interest me that much.
#20 djsenter
But why?
It doesn't change anything, it is not significant in any shape or form to the story plot.
So why?
