I really liked one american stand upper talking about those too much details in the audio description. He said that when the doors are slamming you don't need to describe it, because man, we are just blind :D
unfortunatelly I don't know if I will find the link to it again :D

Oh this is good :D yeah, it is the exact same problem hungarian audio description has. They go into so much detail that it's already more like a disturbing factor than actualy helpful.

I notice that, and then sometimes details are left out, but of course I don't know what they are, but I do know something has happened that wasn't described, ugh.

Guys. don't throw stones into it. Really. you're lucky that you have audio descriptions at all.
No, I'm almost joking here, but in lithuania I can count probably on one hands fingers how much movies with audio descriptions we have. It's recently progressing and improving, but only started recently.

Same here. Now it's a law that every hungarian produced films and series must havee audio description, but as I've mentioned above, it's rather awful than actualy helpful. They are taking feedback but nothing seems to change. On the other hand, if a film with audio description is on TV, you rather don't want to watch that because if you get your channels through a decoder, you will never be able to turn AD on alone, because companies don't care making their decoders accessible. No, it doesn't matter if your TV talks, your decoder won't do so. And yeah, most hungarians have decoders.

I think the exact opposite. Too many details are annoying to be honest. And unfortunatelly if there are too much garbage, it sometimes mutes other dialogues, discussions between characters.

-- (Louisa):
Personally I like that kind of detail. I've always found it interesting. The action doesn't interest me that much.

Anyway, did you guys notice, that Netflix has recently started to do more and more audio descriptions, even in languages other than english? Yes, it's TTS at most of the time, but it's better than nothing.

yah, keyword better than nothing.
I don't have good experiences with TTS audio descriptions most of the time lol. It usually ducks the hell out of the show for the duration of it talking, and then more stuff happens, and you can't hear it, and it's just a nightmare xd
