whats new feature works fine for me too. but very very slow. with 800 mbps internet it is very strange to see that a piece of text informations loads longer than a second.
Yes, i know that this information is combined from several database requests and is not just sending prepared data, but thats why i was talking about server specs and money that developers receive from premium users.

Just for the sake of order, I will point out that the money for premium packages does not cover the costs of the server, domains, etc. So the foundation does not earn on Elten, it contributes to it.

@pajper i know that the question is not so correct and polite, but could you tell which server specs you have?
I am asking because i have a dedicated server in France with 32 gb ram, 8 cores CPU and 4 tb hdd.
It is enough to train RHVoice voices, build some software in CI pipeline and do other stuff while hosting two telegram bots, three sites and an internet radio with about 50 daily listeners.
And for this server i pay 2000 russian rubbles per month. with the current course it is something like 30 or 35 euros per month.

The "What's new" problem is known and widely discussed. In general, this is not a server performance issue, but a WordPress engine issue. In practice, WP creates a separate set of tables for each blog, and checking for new blog posts etc. requires scanning all of them.
In Elten 2.6 we plan to remove "What's new" in favor of the notification system. So far, the only solution is to disable all blog-related notifications in your account settings.

i will try disabling unneeded notifications for now to make it faster.

Remember that Elten Server is also WordPress and conferences host, makes almost real-time transcriptions of audio posts, is used for 3d rendering for Prowadnica's 3d prints etc.

but what you mean with 3d rendering for 3d print?
and if it is not a secret, what do you use for audio transcription?
I have tried vosk, and now want to experiment with whisper if it would work without a gpu.

We're using Elten Server for rendering for 3d prints - main activity of the foundation.
As for transcriptions, we're using Faster-Whisper library, it's faster implementation of Whisper. It's relatively good using CPU.

@pajper thank you, i will try this library for my telegram bot.

Also a thing we need which shouldn't be to hard, selecting several files in file manager or cutting not just copying. Otherwise this is 1 thing that elten is awesome for. File managing.

I really really recommend you to try Total Commander.
You can install it and use nvda addon for TC to improve its accessibility. I use it for several years and didnt find any accessibility problems. It can open any archives just like ordinary folders, it can copy and paste into and out of archives. It can be extended with plugins for almost anything, from adb connector to your phone, to extra file formats support.
Really, try it out and you will like it.

I agree with mark on one of his posts. It did feel like a private conversation in public, however if you feel comfortable with it, then it's your own business.

I understand too, that others are also not very happy with the progress of elten, for various reasons. Which has been mentioned.

@pajper one more problem discovered.
somehow moderators cannot ban anyone in conferences. so a person who does the very silly and stupit stuff in english conference cannot be even banned by moderators

Yes the problem is legit, even if you say it's now possible, in practice it isn't.

Hi, I have a suggestion, it will be nice if we have the ability to view comments on a youtube video, so when we click on the video, and when we arrow down to comments, we press enter, we can tab through the comments, and after the comments is read, it will display its day when it was published.

I think it won't cause, as far as I know, no available library allows to do it. What's more, Pajper never declared to develop Yt so much. It was only to listen/watch something, maybe to download etc.

As i know there is official api which allows to view comments and even sign into google account and manipulate text content.
of course it does not allow watching or downloading of videos but this goal is for youtube explode or ytdlp
