pajper English 2021-02-28 46 głosów

This new feature in Elten 2.4 is probably the most popular. The purpose of this poll is to gather feedback and priorities related to this feature. I ask that only those interested in the development of conferences complete this survey.

Does it make sense for you to develop this feature further? Justify your opinion.

  • Obviously does. The idea is great and there would be no point throwing it away.

  • not sure

  • yes. it is a big teamtalk replacer. although teamtalk is more functional and it has it's independent client, but elten's conferences are realy free. you must not pay for servers. to make a server in tt you must pay monthly!

  • Yes, because it have the big potential

  • yes, you can ad much to it. And there could be a mobile conference client for elten.

  • Yes, for us we are fine, although needs more development.

  • personally the confrances systems great, and it iwll be cool if you can add ambiences and upload them to be reviewed before being submited, so that people may download packs of them and put them inside their calls, with adjustable volume control.

  • yes, definitely.

  • It really makes sense, especially in regard to if this is still developed elten mobile. How ever some features are needed like for an example, an automated notification when someone joins a converence room so you don't have to look up all the time.

  • yes, certainly.

  • idk, i don't use it anyway so,

  • yes, because i know many people who like conferences and voice calls

  • I would say that yes, it does make sense to keep developing this. Nothing is perfect and everything, including these conferences, can be improved upon.

  • Na.

  • yes, because it has potential

  • It depends on if people will continue to use it.

  • It's fine for me as it is now!Railwayguy

  • yes.

  • yes, if it stops giving me horrible feedback when I don't use a headset.

  • Yes, it does. If we also get mobile clients involved, I see this feature as having a lot of potential.

  • yes

  • I'm extremely new here, but I do find it useful. the idea of just moving away from someone you don't like, well, that's priceless.

  • More features are nice, but keeping it simple is also important.

  • yes

  • Yes, it makes sense for me because 1., if there are going to be more features implemented to this, more people will use it and I think that elten conferences are really a step forward from other conferences applications like TeamTalk.

  • Sometimes there are transmit interruptions because of buffering I think.

Objects in channels: interesting, useful or climatic issue, or a waste of time? Justify.

  • It is rather an original feature and think it can be both fun and useful when not abused.

  • useful

  • objects are great. and i also want to make moving objects. you just right how it moves with this sintax this object will move in 8 by 8 square. startposition=0 0 new line. move 8 8,2000 new line. move 0 8,2000 new line. move_to_start_position.

  • For me it's a climatic issue and i will send more sounds to add to the new version.

  • it is very funny!

  • Interesting

  • if sund designs great, I think it's a great adition.

  • interesting

  • This would be a really interesting thing to experience.

  • idk what you mean

  • they are very interesting, and I'd like to see more forms of entertainment too.

  • I think the objects in channels is an interesting concept. It can really bring life to a channel if you've got, say, a fire crackling in the background and you're having a fireside chat of some sort.

  • waste.

  • nice idea.

  • I think it is interesting.

  • Waist of time!Railwayguy

  • cool.

  • waste of time as it doesn't enhance usability.

  • intresting but should add more than just fire place

  • Haven't seen them yet, but they sound awesome.

  • That sounds a bit too much like some kind of game. I think priority should be given to real chat functions.

  • I think it's a waste of time. We're not gonna have a conference just because we want to here people in binoral are we?

  • 1

What is your opinion of surround sound (HRTF)?

  • I am not sure whether the problem was on my or the Elten's side, but in any case HRTF didn't sound correctly when I tried it, the sound would become mono and all the sounds would turn very quiet when moving around in the channel space. Hence I'm not fully authorized to answer this question, though I like the idea a lot as long as it's functioning the way it's supposed to.

  • I love the idea

  • hrtf is great. 3d sound is really great, and i thaught of that conferencing programs with 3d sound

  • My computer is too weak for this feature but sometimes it works properly.

  • Thats good. I always just use that

  • I love it!

  • Fantastic! Nothing wrong me

  • could use some work, but I generaly don't mind it unless the users panning eccessivly

  • it's a cool thing!

  • I have not tested it yet.

  • it would be awesome i suppose

  • good. i like it

  • cool

  • HRTF is definitely cool and I think it should continue to exist for those who use it.

  • okaay.

  • I like it, but I don't like that an audio file can only be plaied mono.

  • is really good

  • I like it.

  • Undetermined!Railwayguy

  • Wonderful when using headset.

  • It works pretty great, excepting the situation where someone comes in and starts moving all around instead of properly tralking to others. This is where a banning system would be handy.

  • thebest

  • verry, verry good in my apinyon.

  • really neat

  • I have no experience withit.

  • f

  • I mean, it's not bad. you can have fun with it enabled sometimes. but most of the time I eather forget that it exists or don't use it at all.

  • Nice feature but not so important.

What is the biggest unmentioned asset of Elten conferences?

  • The overall concept of a virtual room with various possibilities is fun. I personally look forward to the new ideas already present in the latest beta versions. It is nice to have an opportunity to meet people all over the world in one place, without having to care about server addresses, with crystal clear sound and simple interface.

  • not sure with this question

  • i think it is conference multiplayer games. people can play with eachother and talk

  • Anything is in one program. Private messages, blogs and forum.

  • Ease of use.

  • Nothing. It's fine as it is.

  • the card deck is cool. and their should be game rooms.

  • no idea

  • idk

  • dk

  • IDK

  • People get to meet new friends and hear what each others voice sounds like.

  • No idea!Railwayguy

  • it's much better than a text chat.

  • good

  • hmmm, that's a hard one

  • f

  • The biggest advantage is the fact that audio is actually good, and also that we have channel messaging.

  • Using a pair of headfones

What is the biggest unmentioned disadvantage of Elten conferences?

  • not sure with this question

  • i cannot block users from rolling million dices. i want a feature that blocks user from dice rolling if he holds ctrl+d. block for 5 seconds. also i want an antispam. people must not send 10 messages in a second in the chat!

  • some times users can move around onthe stereo field and I have to chase them, but most of them are troles.

  • no idea

  • idk

  • dk

  • that they are not simple.

  • If there are too many people in a channel, it can be hard for some people to deal with.

  • No idea!Railwayguy

  • Feedback when using no headset.

  • no kicking people out

  • f

  • For me, the biggest and only disadvantage is the fact that you can't record conferences in the free package.

  • having to use headphones.

Do you have any other unmentioned suggestions?

  • The most significant problem (regarding functions) that I can think of at the moment is the lack of spam protection. Right now it might not seem as urgent, but sooner or later it will. There's always someone who decides to make your life more enjoyable by abusing the chat, placing objects across the channel space etc. Banning users from channels is the first and basic way of preventing this, but it probably shouldn't be the end. Good luck with developing the conferences and have fun with the project.

  • nope

  • all of the features in the question which features must be implemented, they all must be definately in conferences.

  • No.

  • Not at the moment.

  • no

  • nope

  • no

  • no.

  • No!Railwayguy

  • no.

  • All the suggestions present in thatlist are good. Sad that I can't vote more of them. I'd also love to see permanent channels, so that I can create a comunity for my language, sounds of walls and steps that would be able to be uploaded by users that create a certain channee, webcam support for sighted users like me, etc. Don't have a lot of them in my mind now.
