Making sound themes?
Back to Questions and Answers.#1 songbird87
Just wanted to put a thread up about making sound themes. I'd like to make one that is soft enough to keep my head from feeling like it is going to pop off when I have a migraine. Not sure how to do it though.

So,
Since the talk about the new Audio Themes creator interface for 2.4 is very much public knowledge by now (and I'm not gonna download a portable version of 2.3.6.1 just to figure out how the older interface for sound themes looked like at the moment), the simple steps for creating a theme include:
1. Visit the tools menu and visit the Sound Themes Item.
2. Once your in the list of sound themes, press alt and arrow down till you find the New item then press enter.
3. Type in your theme's name. (Do not delete the words that say "by X" [where X means your username.]).
4. Everything else should make sense hoefuly.

Well, here's all of the available Klango Themes from bck in the day, which are thanks to Pitermatch:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Anv9zbClKyFLqBvV4BkIpNcL51d0?e=fsaYLH
Some of the originals are here, however many are not.
And if there are multiple versions of a theme, well, that just means more variety.
PS. Unlike Klango (which had a place for a description which was in addition to a theme's title), Elten does not have a space for one as such.

You allso could download another soundtheme (settings\audio themes). For example you can find a Voiceover theme or a Windows XP theme.

Keep in mind, she is wanting to make her own.
Speaking of themes, since there's already a decent Windows XP theme (which in all fairness is better than my own version of it on Klango back in the day), I'm gonna do a proper Windows Vista/7 theme.
I made a theme whic for Klango, though it was based off of a fan pack.

They would all have to be converted to the elten format in how themes work.
There's over 100 themes in there.

BTW, I will be working on my Elteneeria theme soon, (which will be the updated name for the older Klango Planet theme that Pitermatchz made for me for my old Klango Planet group.

Looking forward to it.

For those who wish to share theme masterpeaces in Elten before they get uploaded to the server, type or paste in the following path into the run dialog box, followed by tapping that enter key:
%appdata%\elten\soundthemes
Speaking of sharing things, here is possibly the finished product for Elteneeria. Make sure ya have 7-zip or compatible application to extract these in to that above folder location I shared:

I'm waiting to see if pitermach has any edits to make, before I send it off to Piper. (Sorry if name was spelled incorrectly.)

Just a suggestion: I think the VoiceOver theme needs to be improved. For instance, why not use the original alert sound that we hear when using VoiceOver, for dialogues?
And I wish to make a Windows 10 theme if possible. I may inform you about it when done. Hope you like it.

Ah, you mean that one from the IPhone? No, I don't think that would work. I deliberately used the sound that plays on the mac when a new window opens. It's a mixture of mac and IOs. The button sound, for example, is exclusively a mac sound.

Oh, got it.

Just created a Damage Extreme theme.
I'm not sure whether it's available for all to download, though.
So could anyone test it and let me know what they think?
