Introduction

So I guess most of you already know me. I'm all of your father! Okay, I'm not. :D
I even couldn't be, cause I'm a girl, called Niki, but there was a time when I called myself as Nick for non-hungarian speakers, because they couldn't get what the hell Niki is. :D I could be a precious sith with that one, Darth Nick, sounds weird. :D
So well... I love playing music, singing, and of course listening to it as well. I love audiogames and everything wwhat is playable for us. And the thing I love the most, is, you could guess, Star Wars.

Hi all. It was quite surprising to see a group dedicated to Star Wars on the list of groups here. And as someone who is interested in the universe, I decided to join. So let me introduce myself. Some of you may know me, some may not. My nickname is Jitel, and I'm from Russia. Of course, I knew about the Star Wars universe for quite a long time, but this knowledge was almost completely limited to the fact that such a universe exists and it's about space. But in 2019, one of my good friends told me that there are novelizations of all the original six episodes, and I decided to familiarize myself with them.
From that moment on, Star Wars became one of my favorite universes. The fact that many authors have been working on it for several decades and brought something new to it has made this universe something where almost everyone can find something interesting for themselves. Over time, I gradually switched to fanfiction, mostly in Russian, since there are quite a lot of wonderful fanfictions that are on par with the best Star Wars books, and even more of those that are several times better than the so-called seventh, eighth and ninth episodes shot by Disney.
A couple more additions:
1. I completely deny for myself the so-called new canon that Disney is trying to create. In order to make money, they completely destroyed everything that many authors had been working on for many years, and that looked like a completely logical history of the world for the most part. I do not deny that there were enough oddities, illogicalities and the like in the legends, but firstly there was a gradation, from completely canonical works, such as Lucas films, to various fan creativity and numerous strange comics that were released by everyone until there was serious regulation, and secondly in the new canon created by Disney, illogic breaks out on you in a torrent even when you watch new episodes. Moreover, some pretty good books were probably created within the framework of the new canon, for example. But I still can't take it seriously.
And 2. I don't think the Galactic Empire is an ideal state, but at least I think it is much better than the galactic republic in many aspects. Yes, there were shortcomings, like some xenophobia, and I believe that many things could have been done better, for example, to give the opportunity for adherents of both sides of the Force to serve for the good of the Empire, but having a Sith as an emperor imposes its own characteristics, and I can understand why it did not happen. Who knows, maybe if the empire had survived, the Yuuzhan Vong invasion could have been repulsed with much less losses.
*There could be a joke here that it is absolutely understandable that a resident of Russia supports the Galactic Empire, but I will not insert it here. You are free to come up with it yourself to the best of your views and sense of humor.*
