Hello. I am really into rock music, but also Baroque, Classical and Romantic from 1750 to 1900. In fact, I'll go for anything as long as it's not those stupid modern 2016 pop songs.

Hey! Oh well, I must agree. Although not all kinds of rock is good either. I love melodic rock, and not that screaming shouting thing.

Sounds just like me. I'm just like that as well.

The same here, in all aspects.

Hey what about microtonal music? Not all of that is good either, but I quite like this for example:

you have more notes than 12 per octave, so you can break the barriers of our standard system. With some, you can play fairly pure in all keys, with pure I mean that it matches the overtone series. I quite like this one as well: This uses 19 notes in the octave:

Happy listening!

I've never heard of microtonal music. What is that? I guess I could go and follow the link on youtube but an explanation would be appreciated.

You know that the system we use is only using 12 different pitches? With microtonal music you can get the pitches in between of these notes, kind of like a fretless instrument such as violin, but you can access specific tones more accurately when needed. Also, when you listen to the video, you'll notice a chorus effect on the sound. At first, I thought this was really just an effect, but because of the chorus being stronger in some parts, I think that it's done by playing different pitches, very close with each other.

I like Metal, progressive roc and hardroc, also psychedelic roc isn't that bad.
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.

Thanks for the explanation, I'll look into that.

Although there are some nonmainstream kinds of music which can be quite good, especially when it comes to chillout styles. Cumming back to older kinds of music, I also like classical music, especially something light. I was crazy over baroque music at one stage. Some english composers are also interesting. Another style that is worth looking intoo is easy listening. Anyway, think will stop for now.

I love Baroque, Classical and Romantic. Monkey999, 'm just like you. I don't lke screamy shouty, but if someone is using belt voice, which sounds like shouting but has a mellody to it, I'll put up with it. Progrock is fantastic. I've also gotten into usion lately, that can be very interesting stuff.
