you never got one? Wow good luck with espeak still then lol. Maybe using it for a longer while makes you get use to that but, if you've seen better synthesizers, then it is probably the worst though i even used it back when i had android, was kinda funny. Well, espeak is the only thing you really have installed at first anyway. We don't need to talk about microsoft voices, do we. German ones suck at least. Especially with their failing pronounciation when they try to speak english. Download them if you're bored. Then type vocalizer, the speech synthesizer for example and it will say it so it sounds kinda like french. Like, what. Or anything else, just as example

does anyone know how to get the compact voices for the vocalizer2.2 addon for nvda and where to get them?

#323

yes but that is actually not allowed to say here unless there is something you can buy still

I use e-speak for reading books, learning languages (Russian and German), and daily things. It's advantage is that it supports many many languages, and it lets me read azerbaijani, too, which 98% of other synths doesn't support.

oh, should have known. Update, I already have what I seeked so never mind.

okay, i hate to make a poste like this, but the lack of an arabic voice is breaking me and this is getting bad! i need an arabic voice and i need one ASAP! it is getting to the point where I can bearly concintrate. I could bearly concintrate at school, and i am not spending time with my girlfriend as i normally would. I can't get the arabic youssuf voice to work no matter how hard i try, the vocolizer and microsoft arabic voices cant speak arabic for crap, i have witnesses, and i simply can't find any other arabic voice.

#327

It's true. He's getting to the point were he's mentally breaking down, and I don't know how to help him.

#328

But for god's sake, how do other arabic speakers use their computer then, if the situation is so bad as you explain?

Here's the thing though you guys. you ton another stand what these voices mean to him. He's got other shit going on as well, and these voices help him deal with it. Th calm him down a bit. That's I'll explain it.
“The important thing is to not stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.” (Albert Einstein)

So you mean you, arabic speakers, have other possibilities but these specific voices calm him down when he listens to them? All right. So why can't some arabs get together and record him a large clip of the voice he's looking for? It seems he can use other voices as well but these particular voices make him happy. So let him listen to them.

Χωρίς να το θέλεις, θα βλέπεις εμένα
Και τα μάτια σου θα ‘ναι θλιμμένα
Όταν θα ξυπνάς στον ύπνο σου

Και θα νιώθεις μεγάλο κενό

Wanted to look for that voice on acapela-group.com but apparently it's no longer available there. But listen to what I got. I hadn't expected Acapela voices to be that bad! And these are US English ones and such companies normally devote the most time and resources to their English voices.

And look at that:
I lowered the quality and applied some effects to make it clear that I did not intend to post this so that everyone could just download it and then use it to isolate any speech from the background music. But the method is quite easy. You don't need to be a geek.

Well, they're a swedish company actually. I must say though, I really like Peter, one of the British English voices. If only you couldn't hear those jumps you get from slicing sentences together, he'd really make an awesome voice.

#337

And here's one other great voice, Brian from Ivona! This is a text I wrote for school.

#338

Oh sorry, you didn't say they were an US company, you just referred to their voices. But yes, I agree with you on those. Like I said, Peter is my absolute favourite, out of all! Don't really like their German voices too, just for some of the vocal smileys.

#339

Well yes, Ryan is also good.

The text's content requires a separate debate. I also like this voice though. And Neospeech Julie is also great.
