Accessible Messenger

Hey everyone.
Accessible Messenger - an early beta of accessible messenger client has been released to test. Please try it out and inform me of any bugs you'll find.

I'll definitely try it. And if WhatsApp, which you wrote about in the thread I created, is also accessible for testing, even if it is already WinZapp, then I will also try it.

no. it's not winzapp, it's different alternative, which still be available soon. updates i'll post in the suitable forum thread.

I tried Accessible Messenger and it works well with it. I just see some chats that I have normally archived that in Messenger on iPhone or in Messenger in browsers on Windows do not appear among the unarchived chats. And in some chat rooms, I don't get all the messages.

Yeah, I'd really need access to more messages for a comfortable experience without having to rely on messenger.com

Ok this is actually really cool. I like it so far. Believe it or not but I am not young enough to use Snapchat on a daily basis while not being old enough not to use WhatsApp, so I still have many contacts on Messenger. Keep it up!

Aha, so I must've missed it, but there seems to be an option to import our chat history into the app. Can we expect calling as well at some point?

yeah, and exactly it exists :) you can import history from the exported backup, and the syncing is happening automatically just slow. after starting the program, you should have to wait to hear percentages - the history loading can take long. my facebook is new, so it doesn't have lots of messages, so I could evaluate more "exact" history loading time.

The problem is that people sometimes have their community relying on these products. So they can't just switch to something better, because no one else goes on there that they know.

Personally I hate FaceBook, Instagram, and almost all products from Meta except WhatsApp. I definitely don't like Meta as a company and I see it as, trash, to say the least, based on their decisions they take. But Messenger is unfortunately still widely used yet Meta is making it worse and worse.

Chanses of this getting removed by metta are very small because the app is not famously known.
