P1: The U.S. Constitution has major structural flaws.
P2: These flaws inevitably result in a radical break with the original design of the Constitution.
P3: There is no internal mechanism within the document to correct these deviations.
P4: Any system that breaks radically from its design and cannot internally correct itself has fundamentally failed.
C1 Therefore, the U.S. Constitution has fundamentally failed.
P5: Any attempt to resolve this failure using an external mechanism requires discarding its foundational principles.
P6: Discarding a system's foundational principles to restore it is simply a secondary confirmation of its failure.
C2: Therefore, the U.S. Constitution has failed (both in its structural survival and in its capacity for external restoration).

Invalidated by one word, ouch.
Edit: I stand corrected, the argument's been revised.
Chesterton, G.K. "When men choose not to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing; they then become capable of believing in anything."
