Hey everyone! I'm here to bring yall a new game I just made!
This game is called classic simon. As the topic states, it's my first game I made in colaberation with one of my friends.
I know I've already made several games before, but I decided to team up with someone else to create something, and so here we are.
At it's core, it may seem extremely basic in concept, but now there's much more to this game than there was in earlier betas.

This is basicly your standered memmory game where you follow increasingly challenging sequences. The only difference is, it now comes with 4 main playing modes, 4 speed difficulties, and the ability to create your own simon packs with optional configuration files to tune how each game will behave.

To get a better idea of how to play each game mode, please have a look at the readme for instructions on how to get started.

With all that in mind, here's what's new in version 1.0.

Added the ability for pack creators to include an optional info.cmf file in a pack, which fine tunes its playback speed, reaction times, difficulty ramp, and autopilot. See the readme for details.
Added a fourth difficulty, insane. It starts faster than hard and speeds up more sharply, for a real challenge.
Fixed the escape key so that leaving a game, the fail screen, or learn tones now takes you back to that Simon's menu, instead of all the way back out to the main menu.
Made it so best scores are now tracked separately for every game mode as well as every difficulty. Choose View scores from a Simon's menu, pick a game mode, and you will hear your best for easy, medium, and hard in that mode. Your bests are remembered between sessions, and autopilot games still do not count.
Added three new game modes alongside the original, which is now called classic. Classic reverse plays like classic, but you repeat the sequence backwards. Shuffle gives you a brand new random sequence every round instead of adding to the same one. Shuffle reverse combines both, a fresh sequence each round that you repeat backwards. You choose a mode when you start a game, before picking a difficulty.
Added a view scores option to each Simon's menu, where you can see your best score for easy, medium, and hard. Your best is remembered between sessions, and autopilot games do not count toward it.
Added some menu music to the game. You can change the volume for them by pressing the page up and page down keys.
Made it so all of your changed settings are now remembered between sessions.
Improved autopilot mode. It no longer says go when a round begins, and when it slips up the game now says the computer failed instead of you failed.
Added a setting to turn off the logo that plays at startup. You can find this toggle in the settings menu.
Added a settings menu, reachable from the main menu, where you can turn spoken hints on or off.
Added spoken hints, which are on by default. The game announces each round number, says go when it is your turn to repeat the sequence, and names each arrow as you press it in learn tones.
Updated the readme with clearer instructions on how to play, plus new sections covering difficulty, autopilot, learn tones, and adding your own Simon packs.
Added an autopilot option in the main menu. You can have the game automatically play for you, and let it fail at random.
Added a basic score system to the game. You will hear the total score you got upon failing a round.
Fixed difficulty option scaling.
Added difficulty options to the game. This controls how fast the game tones play, along with how rapidly it speeds up when playing, and failing.
Updated the logo sound to be fadable when the enter key is pressed.
Fixed a bunch of bugs with menus, and replaced the old system with a much more reliable one.
Added a dynamic pack system to the game. You can now add any type of simon game you want to play.

That's it for now. This game may not receive very many updates going forward, unless I find something worth fixing in the meantime.

Here's the game's download link on itch.io.
