To be honest I'm somewhat glad they don't allow children to use social media. What I sometimes see here on Elten makes me more and more convinced about the fact that this generation doesn't understand norms and standards which were obvious for us back then.

@61, the problem isn't the ban, persay. The problem is what it means for the rest of us. The fact that these private corporations who have demonstrated, on numerous occasions that they can't be trusted with our data have access to our government issued ID Cards and other forms of ID. The fact that these systems may or may not work because it's the internet and tech and no piece of software is infalable.
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.
The nanny state is never a good thing. Look at what happened during COVID and you'll realize they can't be trusted with our health or anything else about us.
