The following is the text of a thread I posted on Twitter a few minutes ago giving my thoughts on very recent events in the middle east. I think this is the strongest rhetoric I've ever used, it's certainly warranted though. As always, everyone is encouraged to comment, but all I ask is that you read the text in full first.
Since everyone seems to be shamelessly posting their opinions on this war, I'll go ahead and make my position abundantly clear.
I will never cheer on a war of choice, which is what this is. And I do not respect even its most misguided and well-intentioned defenders
because they are functionally identical to the war propagandists in the government. They are at best idiotic beyond measure, and at worst deeply immoral people with a defective conscience. Either way, their opinions should be disregarded and discredited.
I also believe that the state of Israel is a genocidal rogue state that the United States should have little to no dealings with. It is led by profoundly evil people driven to act by a malignant ideology from the pit of hell, and those who shill for it should be condemned
in the harshest terms, forever. There's a lot more I could say about this. I could point out that Israel is no ally of ours, that they are the aggressor in practically every conflict they are in, and that they are a strategic liability for this and many other reasons.
But honestly, there wouldn't be any point in that. The purpose of this thread is not to fully flesh out my rationale for my positions; it's to give those who follow me a general idea of where I stand.
So if these opinions do not sit well with you, if you cheerlead this war for any reason whatsoever, do me a favor and unfollow me.
Because regardless of your reasoning, whether you're an avowed Zionist, a brainwashed MAGA plan-truster, or just plain stupid, you are all functionally identical to one another. You all represent everything I hate and further the worst causes. So please GTFO.
