Recently got back into it after not having played for years and was wondering how people like it?

I like it, it's another story I'm not really a strong player :D I've never played it competitively, I've just picked it up as a hobby a few years ago and since then I play sometimes. I have a small portable chess board from Cechia and I use it even if I play online, because it's easier for me to see my chances that way.

Oh yeah. A physical board, in my case wood, is an absolute must. I wish I could play without a board, and QCs integration/UI is probably the simplest/most usable you can have for that, but nah my brain can't cope with that.

We should play on QC or LiChess at some point. I prefer to play on weekends for time and energy reasons, but yeah. Would be interesting.

Honestly, just look it up or let AI explain. It's a board game with multiple figures being able to move in certain different ways, explaining them all would be kinda too much for this imo, + eventually exceed my proper english skills idk.

honestly, I've never played it before. What is it?

I like it but it gets boring at a higher level because as long as you pay atenchen and know the rules, it becomes a game of decideing how to trade more then anything sense if you are smart you can avoid most things unless you fucked yourself in the start of the round.

I used to play chess before when I was at school, and it's a very good game. it's hard for me at first but I got used to it the more I play it.
I played chess, a long time ago... I still have an old chessboard produced in Yugoslavia perhaps in 1950s... But I don't play it, sadly, not very often, and I must confess that I am far from being a good player.
