EltenLink

Small grammer error in error dialog

Back to Bugs and Problems

#1 GraceDontmindbeingblind

When an error occurs, Elten offers to report it. The dialog currently says:
"It may definitely help us fix the problem."
The issue is that "may" and "definitely" contradict each other. May suggests uncertainty, while definitely suggests certainty, so the combination feels awkward and unclear.
Depending on the intended meaning, clearer alternatives would be:

"It may help us fix the problem." (if reporting only might help)

"It will definitely help us fix the problem." (if reporting is always helpful)
This adjustment would make the dialog sound smoother and more professional.

You also misspelled grammar, so... :)

I may be blind, but I do not trust blindly, you see? :D

This contributes nothing useful at all, sir.
She also just pointed at a grammatical error, not a spelling error.

McOi. Not my own captain, but a passenger on this ship.
