Statement regarding how the Elten English Community is being run

Last night, I held a meeting with the moderation team to decide on the best way forward for the English community. We are now taking a hard stance against harassment, bullying and personal attacks. We were already dealing with posts that were nothing but attacks against others, but now we will be giving official warnings to those who repeatedly harass, bully or otherwise attack someone whether that be for the way they write their posts, or some other reason, this has become a very big problem, and people will not be getting away with this behaviour.
There are several people who have been going out of their way to deliberately make us admins and moderators jobs all the more difficult, making useless and insulting comments, and even making unnecessary reports on posts that are from us, the moderation team. I have already made a statement saying the pointless reports need to stop, and I had to clear said thread out as all people did was throw insults, personal attacks and spam into the thread. These people will be dealt with accordingly. Certain people have even admitted to not even caring about the way their behaviour impacts the community, and thus they will be given a more severe punishment, which will be added to the public moderation log.
I have been getting reports that some people are quote unquote, "uncomfortable" with us mods deleting/removing posts that are off topic or outright pointless. Let me clear this up, so everyone is on the same page. If people are making posts that serve no purpose, then they will be deleted, as there's no point in even putting them in the archives. If there are posts that aren't complete trash, but are still off topic in relation to the topic at hand, they will be removed, but put in an archive that's out of the way, that way those who are coming to the forum for the quality content don't have to come across such low quality crap.
There have been comments regarding the way I have worded some things in response to certain people's actions, saying its unprofessional. In reality, we live in a world where not everything is sunshine and roses, and sometimes the truth needs to be told, even if it sounds blunt, and as they always say, the truth hurts, deal with it. I am not gonna beat about the bush, if someone is being idiotic, I will tell them so.

That's everything for this statement, and to those who wanna argue and say stupid stuff, I have only this to say. If you don't like how this group is being run, then just get the hell out, no one's forcing you to be here, but if you are gonna be here, follow the rules, don't start pointless BS, and don't make us moderators and administrators jobs difficult, simple as that.

Moderation: ArcticMoon, you have been deliberately making remarks about us moderators, even making personal attacks not just against the moderation team, but also other users. This is your final warning. If you rejoin the group just to keep this up, you are gonna be permanently banned, as clearly you don't care about the impact you are having on the community, and you have a history of this unpleasant behavior.

I look at the people modding and you alex and I am just going to be objective but when that hole topic was going onn you guys didn't do anything about it for a week, that being said I don't think the moderation is fit to continue. For the sake of this group you know that deletion of posts is not popular from some of the most vocle people on the forum there is a point ware you can't just tell them as an administrater to just get up out of here. At some point you say, okay I'm done adminastrating because my ideas of how that should look are unpopular through out the group I am adminastrating.

I would also say half the people I kow on the mod team don't really seem cut out for their positions, they don't think in the way you need to be able to to moderate, some I am not going to lie seem to have gotten the spot because they are on good terms with you alex. I have seen a few of the mods listed and I have never seen them do a thing on this forum. If I get harsh pushback for this post and my one from before this one, it is ferther evidence in suport of my position, so let that be konwn.

We were carefully discussing in the moderation team chat what to do about it, and ultimately we had the meeting last night, and because it got so out of hand, we decided to just mass move all the posts people were making to an archive, as we can't just sit there for hours reading each one of those posts and deciding whether certain ones would stay where they are or not, as most of it was just pointless nonsense. But now its sorted, and we've got strategies in place to deal with things like this if something of that nature was to occur again, which at this point if people start doing what they did in that thread, they will be getting warnings, and depending on how many they've had, they may be banned for a period of time. People doing stupid stuff in the forum will get 3 warnings, and after that they'll be banned for between 30 and 90 days depending on the severity of their actions, and also their histlry of behaviour, and after that, it will be up to a year if they get another 3 warnings after coming back from their initial temporary ban, and so on, so this is how things are gonna work from this point onward.

We are working as a team, and in last night's meeting I even said, they don't need to leave everything to me, they're on the team for a reason, to help moderate this thing. As for people being on the team because they are on good terms with me, its not just that, they are people that I can trust, and I've made it clear that they should not do anything stupid, and things like bans are to be agreed with me, but preferably discussed in the moderation team group chat.

Alex. I want to say thanks. Thanks for clearing out that crazy thread. I understand that might have been very hard for you. I know things may have been hard, but I say, thank you. Thank you for doing the best you can for this community. But Alex, that was the reason why I left, with the way things were going in that whole thread. I meen I did make a few poasts, but things were going out of hand so I had to leave, and I'm sorry for that.

No problem, since I held the moderation meeting last night, the whole team is in agreement that the insanity needs to stop, and it will stop, and those that continue it will be dealt with as us moderators deem appropriate.

Okay. Let's hope we don't have this again.

Well, personal attacks in general, so much has been going on, and I have been going through everything in stages, as I could not literally spend 7 or however many hours it would take to read through everything, but I'm not the only one, the team is also going through stuff, so things are being done.

how he is still offended after 2 years that he didn't winn the election is on the same level as the moderation team we have here. And how he is refusing to accept that the way it's currently going is like 60 percent an elten problem which even his mighty self as admin could not fix.

He is not being offended. It's simply the reality that the current state of this community sucks. And if Pajper would've made updates to Elten that wouldn't help it by any means either.
What do you think Pajper would do suddendly. Introduce AI based moderation? Add 2fa or some ID verification that is needed on signup? Either way no update can fix this community.

Well, obviously, in a perfect world, Elten would have been developed by not just a single person, but a team of international developers. There would be updates regularly, and like sights such as Youtube, Facebook, and many others, there would be age verification. Now some channels on Youtube do have kids that are younger than 13, but those channels are handled by the users leagle gardien. So for Elten there would be something to the extent of an ID scanning system, a way to link to Google or facebook, or something to that effect.
I have always believed, and George and a few other friends think that if Elten were handled by a group like the Canadien National institute for the blind, the National federation of the blind in the United states, or even the royal National institute for the blind in the UK, it would be a positive and vibrant happy place for those blind and vision impaired everywhere.
But as great as that would be, unfortunetly, that isn't the case. Until Pajper does any future majour update to the program, I'm afraid we'll just have to play the waiting game. What we are doing is not perfect, like everything in life, but we are doing the best that we can do to keep this group going.
