problem with my laptop microphone

Hi everyone,
I’m having a strange issue with the built-in microphone on my ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop.
In TeamTalk (and also in Virtual Recorder), the mic sounds clear and very good quality. But when I try it in OBS Studio, Windows Voice Recorder, or even just monitoring it via the “listen to this device” option in Control Panel, the quality is much worse — more muffled and noisy.
What makes it even more confusing:
TeamTalk always gets the good/clean version.
Windows/OBS only ever get the lower-quality version.
And the Amazon Alexa app on Windows doesn’t recognize the laptop’s mic at all, even though it’s set as the default input and default communication device, and permissions are enabled.
What I’ve tried so far:
Set the laptop’s mic as default everywhere.
Disabled all other microphones.
Changed the format to 48 kHz / 24-bit studio quality.
Checked Windows privacy settings — Alexa has mic access.
Still, no change: Windows/OBS apps only get the bad quality, TeamTalk gets the good one, Alexa doesn’t see it.
My questions are:
1.
Why would TeamTalk receive a clear signal, while Windows/OBS get a worse one from the same mic?
2.
How can I make OBS/Windows/Alexa use the same clean audio as TeamTalk?
3.
Could this be related to ASUS’s AI noise-canceling drivers (MyASUS/Armoury Crate)?
Thank you in advance.

Turn off special effects, noise reduction, whatever, and your signal will clear up, or should do so. Sometimes it's called special enhancements. I hope this helps.

I tried these too, and there has been no change yet.
