so aparrently pajper has been doing god knows what other things, but this thing hasn't been updated since september of last year with the release of beta 4. And all I have to say is, is this the end of elten? Is it not getting any more updates? Will it fall down like what happened with klango? Will there be a successer to it? I mean we already have TeamTalk, but still

Elten has been like that since years already. Relax.

Unlike Klango, Elten's source code is theoretically freely available. However, the GitHub repository is poorly documented, and the server component appears to have not been updated in a long time. Apart from finances, Elten's progress likely depends on a good developer community. If such a community can't be found, there is apparently no reason to develop this project beyond a children's playground. I could understand if Pajper decided to slow down a bit. And we all know that there are also far too many areas outside of pure software development for one person to manage alone.
