hi all, it is a new topic about our past, respectively, about school dining and which was your worst meal in the school canteen... for me it was a rice with pieces or cubes of liver, with many litres of sauce, brown sauce, nicknamed as an universal brown sauce or in czech as an u.h.o, i like liver, but fright liver, but unfortunately school canteens can make some meals very shity.

I think spinach was the worst thing I ever had in school. I had it later in life and I like it when cooked properly. I'm not a picky eater so I enjoyed most things I had in the school cafeteria.

hm, spinach, i like it, but in fact most school canteens can do that very shity i've heard about free school lunches, but i am against it, because the quality of the meals should be very low, for example in norway, kids have free school lunches, but they do not use this possibility, because it isn't eatable, fuckingly shity, and very small portions of course.

As the saying goes, there's no such thing as a free lunch.
I used to pay a quarter, twenty-five cents, for my lunches. The rest was subsidized by taxpayers and maybe other corporate interests. I suppose the quality was fairly low but could've been much worse.
Oh, and beets, when done at school, were yucky, but I like them otherwise.

okay, in my opinion a free lunch is an ilusion, because in reality it is not free, because it costs your taste cubs, and you can't do anythink, because of the ingredients, energies etc.

I agree.

however, especialy in our country (czech republic), one third of people are stupid idealists who don't think on their own and their children's future, so, if some populists promise, that school lunches will be free, they kiss their hands, so, it's our dear czech republic full of idealists.

That is the same throughout the world, unfortunately.

hm, you're right... i've heard some documentary films about jamie oliver, jamie oliver is a british cook, he was visiting a school canteens in england, mainly in england and he was disgusted with this, because he had an opportunity to visit the school canteens in other countries, especialy in italy and thinks were better, than in england.

the worst my school caffetiria gives to us is fish sticks. They are. so bad i swear. oh my god.

what a fuck? i know a person from germany who complained, that their school meals are so dusgusting, and i replied: you wanted a free school lunch so where is the problem? in fact main problems in our country are: a consumption basket and secondly old socialist norms from 1970s, and other bureaucratic obstacles, so, it is the main source of this.

for me it was grilled chese. when i got my sandwich. it felt like a brick.

It was potatoes. Just potatoes, right? Delicious, all that. And next to the potato salad, just salad, delicious salad.
But there was only one but. All this was with herring. stinking, disgusting, slippery herring.
I don't like fish in general, but it's hard for me to find fish that will be more disgusting than herring.

hey all, i like the fish foods, but as i have to say, school canteens are too stupid, so, that's a reason why many people hate these foods, it is very difficult problem.
