Simple fighter, my first oficial game.

Taken from the audiogames.net forum.
Hello everyone. I finally released my new game, simple fighter. I know I could’ve came up with a better name, but at the time of coding it, that’s what came up to me. If you have any ideas as to what I should call this thing, please do let me know.
As for the game itself, it’s description and download links are on itch.io. Basically, it’s a game where you kill endless amounts of enemies and other objects to level up and gain experience points, and from those experience points, you can upgrade them to further enhance your overall strength and protection. You might be thinking this game may be similar to other popular off-line shooters, which it is, but it can do much more than kill things in general.
One of the Big things you can do is build your own maps with varying difficulty to better suit your gameplay. As of this writing, you can build up to 36 objects. These will be described more in death in the readme, which I admit, needs to be vastly updated, as I haven’t put much effort into it as I’d like to.
The same goes for the change log as well. I’ve been so focused coding the damn thing that I nearly forgot most of the features and or bug fixes I’ve applied to the game ever since I first started making it.
I still managed to get lots of them written down after the conversion of it from the no longer maintained bgt engine. Anyways, enough of me rambling all day, on with the links.
Before I do, though, I’d like to let you all know that this game may contain assets used in other audio games. In light of this concern, I therefore made it possible to fully customize the game with whatever sounds you want in the game. These include, but are not limited to, characters, footsteps and walls, equipment, such as weapons, items, shields, NPC Such as animals, enemies, projectiles, robots, other objects such as doors, hazards, spikes, teleporters, vehicles, and user interface sounds such as menus, typing themes, and other miscellaneous sounds that don’t really fit anywhere, but the miscellaneous folder inside the game.
You can get the game here.

You can get the entire sounds of the game here.

You can find the git hub repository of my game here.

If you have any problems with the game, or any other suggestions and or comments, please let me know, and I’ll do whatever I can to help.
Enjoy, and happy playing!

That sounds pretty cool. Currently downloading the sounds and taking a look.

Awesome. I still have to document a hole tun of crap, but that's gonna take quite a while to do, as I'll be attending colledge soon, and therefore won't have all the time in the world to work on this game.

Idk, is this just a build to survive new and updated concept version? I'm confused. Sounds like a 2d builder, but then vehicles and rpg? Heh so what. Besides, is this b or nv gt. I'm not downloading this before others have done it simply because I don't feel like having malware on this nice desktop and you used to spread that, atentionally or unattentionally
#5 DevilGuardian
First of all, it's made in nvgt, not bgt. I'm not planning to make this game online either, if that's what you were refering to. In fact, I never will. I don't know shit about networking in the slightest to do that anyways.

Windows immediately flagged, blocked and quarantined, oh well.
#7 DevilGuardian
Of corse it's gonna block the thing. If you've forgot to add an exclusion, then it's gonna either get rid of it, or put it into quarantine. It's not my falt windows flags things made in this language. As I stated before, I made this game from scratch with nvgt, therefore it's gonna get flagged because I don't have a developer signing sertifikit.

Also, alot of other people have played this game before, and none of them have complained about it being flagged what so ever, as far as I'm aware. Please look at this topic.

As for spreading malware, that was years ago. Are you seriously going to judge me based on one unintentional incident I committed? Windows Sandbox and VMs exist for a reason. If you are so suspicious about anything I release, I suggest you test it out on one of those virtualization tools before coming here and claiming I released some form of malware on perpose because you didn't do your research.

First. Jesus? Is my lord.
2nd. I simply said I won't download it until I know it's safe from more people. No reason to get so offended out of a sudden. Makes me not less susspicious.

Okay, sorry about how I acted earlier. Untill I have a developer sertifikit for this game, witch probbebly won't be for a long time, I'm afraid you guys are just gonna have to exclude it from newking itself. Even the farily newest game transport world sim on itch.io get's flagged because it's made in bgt, and I had to exclude it in order to play it correctly. It sucks, but I guess it's a small price to pay to enjoy something relaxing.

I lose games like this since I can't seem to figure out how to make exclusions in Windows 11. I used to be able to do it in win 10, but no more.

It is safe, you can read the intire thread about it.
And just so you can feel safe, my devices havend been akting strange.

To exclude an app in windows 11. Here's what you have to do. Go to windows security, virus & threat protection, then manage settings.
From there, go to Add or remove exclusions. Click on add exclusions. In the drop down list, you have the options of excluding a file, a folder, a spisific file type, or a process. I recommend choosing folder, as you'll need that if you don't want it deleting anything that's inside the game directory.
When you are done adding all the exclusions you need, tab arround to the back button, and it will save them. Hope this helps you. I think this also works on windows10. As for other virus software, I can't really help you there. I don't usually use things like macaffi, malware bites, or avast antivirus protection for that matter. I only use the default builtin microsoft windows defender.

I guess I'll have to make a folder before downloading the game. It sure didn't give me time to add any kind of exclusion.
#16 thespyde
Well, I have the game now. I die quickly but I have it.
Thanks for the help, Devil Guardian!
#17 DevilGuardian
No problem. Happy to help.
