iphone 15 question
Back to Mobile devices#21 ArcticMoon
Not much, since most of the tasks I'm doing on my computer. 4-5 hours I'd say.
I wouldn't be concerned though, as most of us have at around 12 hours of screentime if we count our time in front of the computer, so yeah, just FYI.
-- (Sir-Charlie):
Since the iPhone 12, Apple has been working to improve the battery life. The iPhone 15+ has the best battery life of any iPhone now. You should probably do some research before advising people.
P.S, How much screentime do you have on your phone? I'd just like to point out that 4 hours is like a quarter of the waking day. If you're spending more than that on your phone then I'm concerned.
@Urh, good to hear the battery life on the + is great. I'm considering grabbing one in November at Black Friday precisely because it has the best battery life of the 15 range.

I wouldn't call it offtopic, as I was explaining the problem is not only with a specific iPhone, but all the iPhones around, compared to android phones.
-- (khalil2009):
also the irony about the off-topic posts rule is when a staff member is posting about how good her android phone is in an iPhone thread

I have pretty good battery life on my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
#24 ArcticMoon
What does "pretty good" mean in this situation? What seems good for you, maybe for others it's not.
I wouldn't say 3367 mAH is good, to be honest, while most of us have something around 5000. Ours will be 3300 after 3 years of use :D

@21, that's false. According to statistics the average looking at any screen is about 7 hours. And that's in America. It's less around the world.

I don't want to go even more offtopic but I'm going to explain why I came up with such numbers.
You wake up at around 6 a.m if you are an average student. You are at school already at 8, or at least in Hungary it works like that. You are in school until 4 p.m, which is 8 hours to be exact. After you go home, you do your homework, and of course you want to hang out, if you don't have local friends, then with the ones online. Let's say from 5 p.m you do all your tasks until 6:30 p.m, after that you hang out, and in the end you are in bed at around 11:00 p.m.
So let's count. 8 hours in school in front of the computer, plus one and a half hour while you are doing homework, 9:30 hours, plus hang out with friends or play some games, around 11 hours. And it's an average week day, at weekend it's even more.
I believe in the US it's a bit less strict and as far as I know your system is pretty much f*cked up compare to Europe, but here it works like that.

ok I was overexagurating. I get 2 to 3 hours a day of actual use, but yes, the plus is a great phone

nah. I know for a fact its not an issue with all iphones. it just sounds like your bashing apple for no reason. sure, apple has its cons but so does androide and everything else
#29 ArcticMoon
I've been using Apple devices for 7 years, I unfortunately know what I'm talking about, and what I lost in these 7 years.

I find it funny that you claimed that you’re the only one who knows what they’re talking about but you’re literally the only person in this thread who’s had these constant issues
#31 Sir-Charlie
I mean Apple has had battery issues but they've actively been trying to improve them for years. It's unfair to comment on something no matter what it is based on outdated information.

The iPhone 15 has a battery capacity of 3367 mAH. It's shitty, I'm sorry to say. The iPhone 15 pro has a capacity of 3290 mAH, which is even more shitty, I'm sorry. The plus has a capacity of 4407 mAH, which is already a little better, but compared to some phones which have 5000, it's still not good. On the other hand these phones can't accept more than 30 W of power so they charge awfully slowly, while most of the customers happily sit at home with phones which accept even 67 W.
What I'm trying to say is the fact that you shouldn't be surprised, especially if you had a better phone earlier.
Just asking, do we even know how much RAM our iPhone has? Just because they never make that public :)
In fact, when 15 came out, they made it public, probably the first time or so. 6 GB. We feel you guys with our 12 GB and 2 days of battery life. Xiaomi phones had 8 GB even 4 years ago, so nothing innovative here.
#33 khalil2009
um no. they didn't just make the ram public. take a look at this. https://9to5mac.com/2023/11/18/iphone-ram-list/

1+? Those things apparently have 16 gb, half the price and come with, COME WITH, unlike apple, an 80 wat fast charger in the box. Khalil I have your same ishew one night I was gonna put my phone down the night it was 100% but in the morning it was at 9 % but maybe I jut left it open. It shouldn't die that fast though.

I mean, I've already said I used apple devices for 7 years and I loved both my iPhone SE 1st gen, after that iPhone 7, and the last iPhone I had was the SE 2nd generation. I loved them and I didn't want to switch for a very long time.
On the other hand, android is not for beginners, that's true. There are a lot of things which you just can't set if you don't know how to. I was very lucky because most of my friends have android so I could ask anything, anytime. These are the disadvantages, yeah.
But in terms of battery let's not debate, because we all know the pure facts.
No, I'm not judging anyone for using iPhones and in general, apple devices. I'm judging Apple because they can sell literaly anything because most of their users are naive people who buy iDevices either for the sake of going around and say looka me I have an iPhone, or they still rely on the disabled community, for whom it's the only option. Or well, they think it's the only one.

Very true, sadly. Thing is I got airpods Pro 2 and an iPad and such stuff. But tbh I am fed up of this, whole apple thing. Like, it always seems so great but over all its pretty meh! And haven't used a good android since, ever, cuz the only one I had was a reaaaally old huawai from my mom so lol, might really consider it, at least as second phone or so since my Family is now completely in the apple system to. Don't even know why cuz in the past my dad was literally the only one who used it and now my brother switched and my sister and everyone. But yeah as already saied, the batterys are bad, the brightness of the display from my 14 is also kinda weak and I wish it could be better, idk. I mean its just shitty you can't really get out when you are in.

not to mention the games I have bought which are just availlable for IOS I would have to rebuy/change all my subscriptions in general. That would probably be my biggest problem why I wouldn't switch 100%.

btw, maybe move the last few posts especially from me into the switch to android topic.

I agree to much said here. Apple's expensive and has a lot of features, but it isn'T that customiceable as Android (*poiting with a finger on screenreaders*) and the battery is for the totally trash. Yeah Android devices take longer for recharge tan Apple's does, but the battery leads longer. As well Android is much cheaper than Apple.
I agree to post 36 as well though. Most people think sadly Iphone is the best, that it is the best phone for blindys. Well, regarding the easy handle yes, I agree that you can fuck your Android device in many ways when you don't know anything, but it isn't that easy as many might think. I personally almost started from scratch at 2022/04/26 and never managed it to fuck it with any of these settings. I wouldn't recommend to play around with the developer options any way though.
And lastly I agree to post 39 that these posts should be moved in the right regarding topic.
Edit: I'm sorry that I didn't find a better word than fuck.
