I red nowhere that pajper has disqualified everyone. I or sure will also make a new application, only reason i haven't done it by now beeing that i was having trouble with my computer the last few days and having to clean up a lot.

Sir-Charlie, in case you are referring to me, I want to say that during this time of the votes a lot of problems arose, a lot of discord and a bad atmosphere. And since there is no place in my mind for that type of thing, I prefer to step aside and if I can advise the next administrator in any situation, I will do so with great pleasure.

You might be wondering why I brought this thread of mine back. Well in another thread some people raised questions regarding my choice of wording towards a particular user and how that bodes for my prospects as the future admin of this community.

Now here's the thing. This post might ruffle a few feathers, but so be it. I'm not coming here to apologise or retract what I said. I'm not even here to conceed that what I said was unsavory given my position as a candidate for the admin of the community, because frankly I don't believe that to be the case, and I'll explain why. First, I'll paste the offending message so that you can read for yourself. If you already saw it I'll put in 2 blank spaces at the bottom so you can quickly skip to the remaining body of this post, then I'll explain my position and mindspace as far as writing the post and studying the responses by some.

The forum, as said by many has been pretty quiet over the passed few months. The only time drama kicks up is when we have topics like these. Funny enough, if you don't want drama, how about not starting it?"

So there you have it. To summarise from my perspective, I told some people to shut up because while crying about the drama that's supposedly so pervasive in this forum, they rarely, if ever, contribute and even if they do it's to partisipate in said toxicity.
Some people however decided to ignore the other 77 words I wrote in that post and saw it through only one; "STFU". As I see it, there are 3 reasons why I continue to stand by it and I'll expound on each later. Number 1, the remaining body of the post, #2, I'm not yet an administrator but instead another user, and 3. STFU is simply not an attack.
The overall body of the post wasn't as some people put it, "Condescending". Acirbic sure but I mainly focused on the state of the forum as a whole rather than going on the attack against anyone in particular. I did tell them to STFU. But frankly I think I simply said what everyone else was thinking. I then closed by sardonically giving a piece of advice. "Don't start drama if you don't want it". Simple. I'm not sure how the post was cussing them out when the majority of the post was dedicated on the community at large.
Next, I'm not yet an admin. I hold no power and therefore not required to serve as a rolemodel. I'm a user just like the rest of you. That being said, I do think that if I aspire to be an administrator that I should still show that I'm capable of carrying out good conduct. As I'll expound in the next paragraph I believe that I very much have both in that thread and elsewhere. Never the less, I'm not a parigon of morality nor have I claimed to be. The unfortunate reality is the forum has no administration. Hooligans like the ones displayed in the said thread can run freely while the rest of us are powerless to do nothing but flail our fists and observe from the sidelines in disgust and indignation. Forgive me for getting a little frustrated and slashing at people peeing in our pool. It's disheartening and vexing to see events play out like that.
Lastly, STFU is not an attack lol. Perhaps it's a bit aggressive but I wouldn't categorise my post as cussing out based on that one line. STFU is very much common in internet lingo in the 2020s so to act as if it's some form of uncooth mudtoss is disengenuous.

So there you have it. I'm not taking back what I said. If you want to withdraw support for me as an administrator because of one remark, then so be it. I don't make it my mission like some others to constantly be on campaign mode searching and seeking at every possible opportunity for a leg up in the potential race for administrator. I'm just another member who happens to hope to one day take the reigns of the forum and hopefully illiminate the poppycock displayed in the other thread.
And lastly, I'd like to thank the people who've expressed confidence in me still. I really do appreciate it, and hope to one day make the community into what it could be.

STFU translates to shut the fuck up, and that is an attack. Also, even though you are not yet an admin, you want to become one(after saying you didn't but that's a different story) and so you should show that you are capable of becoming an admin. Also, why didn't you show the post where you told a user to get a live or similar?

I'm not even going to address that because the same points I made about the earlier post could be made for this one as well.
As to STFU being an attack? Please expound. I don't see how it is, Perhaps there are nicer and more polite ways of putting it, but never the less. It's like telling someone to hush, shut up etc more aggressively.
AS to your jab mixed in there for good measure, I never said that I didn't want to be admin. What I said was, and I quote, "If yes does win and they do decide to run another election, I don't intend to run for the position." At the point in time I didn't want to run because A, I didn't want it to be a powergrab, and B, I thought that there were people I'd be willing to throw my support behind. As I've said here and elsewhere there's basically nobody qualified or willing to take over. Pajper has more or les stated that he'd not consider the people who ran, I don't think Fernando is interested, and Arctic stepped aside.
