Tell that to every big company. who tf is 1 user if the rest doesn't do anything, and I'm not a software nerd, I just know how things work I want to have working.

As much as I can't really operate github and I've never reported a bug myself over there, to use the page you don't need to be a nerd. You register as a normal user, of course without repositories, but you can freely report anything you find.
On the other hand, they aren't going to be able to fix bugs if they don't know about it. You have 2 options, get used to the bug and wait until they find it, or report it yourself and maybe they'll have an idea earlier.
There's a russian site, which helps people to apply for university in Russia. When I started it all yet in october, even uploading files wasn't accessible. I reported everything I found, and two weeks later it all worked correctly. That's the magic of telling developers what's wrong.

And this situation with russian website is even better because usually our government does nothing for accessiblity and sometimes government driven sites are terrible in terms of accessibility.
And NVDA is open source product and even if developers cannot fix the bug then someone from the community can find your issue and fix it by making a pull request to the repository.

But for that I'm not gonna mess around with debug and whatnot and wait years until turning it off and then typing some nice text including it. Again, who is 1 user.

Just look at that issue. I hope you will understand everything. The most interesting is the creation date which is 2 weeks ago and the close date which is today.
Two weeks and a serious issue was fixed.

Do you have any problems with Github?
It is one of the most accessible websites honestly.
Everything has correct roles, landmarks, quick navigation shortcuts, even live alerts in case of a new comment or event.
Just IMHO but if someone has struggles with Github accessibility then how the hell you use Windows, gmail or Google?
Yes, some concepts like commits, pull requests, actions, artifacts, they require a little programming knowledge because yes, they are specific.
But opening https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues
Finding there a "new issue" link, pressing on a "bug report" link and filling in some info like your nvda version, your windows version, etc...
This should be super easy for anyone who managed to install nvda, register in Elten and use popular things like spotify, google or youtube.

accessible website? sure, but the most accessible website ever? no way

Yes, exactly. And the best thing in all of it was the fact that they entirely understood my explanations in russian, even if it was my first ever report in that language.

Don't even bother, this is just like the usual "everyone has a problem so I don't even try" mentality. The same as with discord.

Yeah you can create a schedule in task scheduler to do that but I forgot how I found it on a winarrow website. I found it it's this one
https://winaero.com/play-shutdown-sound-windows-10/
-- (thespyde):
I'm more concerned with a shutdown sound, but not enough of a priority to get some sort of script that writes to the scheduler or whatever.

you know, i had a problem with nvda crashing when i Changed device sample rate, or if my cable is going off the device. This is usb microphone, realy new, it's like been released in 2021 year or so. I also thort like that is my problem, it is special to my mic, and i think I'm only one nvda user to use that mic as a sound card. But i realy tried to explain my problem, I realy tried to nale it down, experiment with it, and finally sent it to developers of nvda. And they fixed it.
https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/15758
here cyrmax writes about the problem on my behalf, I asked him it, because I have no experience in creating such reports, And I think you all can see how poor my english is.
the point is, it such an easy way to just insult nvda on elten, instead of trying to understand the problem and actualy do something with it. Try to reload nvda with out the plugins, try to install alpha version and see if the problem shows, try to disable wasapi I dont know, try to find a version that works fine. Maybe something rong with not nvda, but your computer, or the windows? Maybe you changed some settings in the registry? maybe you disabled some needed windows functions, and nvda couldnt find them and crash's? May be you need to update your windows? There can be a lot of reasons, and it’s not a fact that nvda will ultimately be to blame.

Ah, this shutdown sound event needs a password and I refuse to have one on my machines.

Um, and my Windows 10machine still plays the shutdown sound.
