cassette tape plugin for goldwave?

Hi people, Does there exist a plugin for goldwave where I can make a song sound like its on a cassette tape? the reason I ask is because I have always wanted a chalino sanchez cassette tape, but the problem is they are anyware from 120 to 1000 dollars, and that I can't aford. and I like the sound of cassettes, they sound better than a cd or an audiofile.

nevermind, don't worry about it, I eventually screwed around with audassitty, and got one of the vsts I tried with goldwave to work, here is proof.

Noooo. audio cassetes never do sound better than cd or lossless audio, unless you don't care about what is going above 16 khz :D
But i tend to like cassetes more than a cd as well for nostalgic purposes, even by knowing that it's the worst analogue audio information storage.

Talking about the plugins, i'm not sure how good goldwave suports vst, but there is a plugin called "cassete" by waves audio. it does this magic which probably you need.

Is there a public list of gold wave plugins somewhere?

Cassettes sounds cool. Maybe not better than cd but noone hear more than 18khz, cassettes offer sound from 50hz i think to 18khz and if you have good audio recorder you can make a really nice sounding records.
Your demonstration not sound like good audio cassette recorded using good cassette deck. If you need to hear how it can sound, give me few days and i will back with the presentation because now i have problems with my hearing which defining that i can't set up everything properly.
If you need really good VST which can simulate an audio cassette, check waves or another thing. I remember one good vst which was presented on youtube few years ago but unfortunatelly i forgot the name of it.
Recipe for high quality cassette recording: Good deck with manual bias calibration, good tape chrom or metal, if you need use ferric tape check tdk or Basf from the late 90s eg TDK D, SFwill be good option. Also try to use Dolby if you need to add more high tones than the usual.

never mind, I cant remember how exactly I pulled off the cassette effect, because I want to here irt on another song, and my casette player was thrown away years ago supposedly, and I dont know how much a decent working cassette deck would cost with the cassette with the supposed song. I will try a few things

it keeps asking me to activate it, when I try to ajust anything, it doesnt do anything.

I simply would record the songs you want wvia an Aux cable to a tape recorder. That's how I do it. You can always buy tapes on Amazon.
