Strange admins behavior
Back to Threads Archive#41 rudolf
and why the fuck you should ban someone, this person did nothing on elten in general. I mean only because protection? when this other guy is so bad for kids then could ban this guys and not this kids wich are doing nothing in elten.

It sounds very strange though. We talked about this in private with Nuno, and then he explained what's going on. It was reasonable, but banning someone to protect the person is, maybe, not fair. Shouldn't it happen on the other way? I mean, to ban the person, who in fact, harms others? I'm sure Dominator isn't the only one who the other person caused harm for. Then why to ban Dominator if he hasn't done anything himself?
It sounds as if someone almost killed a person, but the man survived, but after that the government prohibits the survived person to go out to the streets.

yeah, that's what I wanted to say with my posts.

Another thing it always sounded like you were the main group admin. I mean he a lot of times only got active when he believed something should be closed for no reason. Or remember this my website with games thread last year? You were away from 2 weeks and he never checkd this thing here.

Look at that. Elten english community 2.0, : thedominator, manny 0211
#46 nuno69
I banned both of them. ALl Children will be banned in a long run to protect their interest.
#47 nuno69
As for the law that stands behind me banning children
Rules wrote
II. Users
1. Anyone over 13 years of age can become a User.

Well, then ban rudolf. Ban techboy. Etc.
#49 Kaito
yeah, and the list goes on..
#50 rudolf
yeah. your argumentations are pointlos and making no sence.
#51 rudolf
sorry but
#52 ArcticMoon
And how will you check if they are really under 13? Since the registration process of Elten doesn't prohibit creating another account, there are going to be spam accounts, duplicates, alteregoes of people. If you didn't know me for example, how would you check I'm really 21, as I state in my visiting card? I could be 12 as well, you can't check without my ID.
#53 ArcticMoon
Nuno even facebook didn't succeed to do something similar. :)

Well, but are rules instruct us to provide correct age, name, etc?
This ban hammer swinging is not more than a wish to show the admin powers.
I have set my age to 123 years btw. maybe now i am too old to be here?
#55 ArcticMoon
And anyway, are you really going to ban a sponsor? As far as I know, Techboy is either 11 or 12 years old. He bought the sponsorship pacckage, he's even shown on the list of sponsors. He supported Elten with his money, and to be honest, a sponsorship package isn't cheap. What are you going to do in this case? Will we turn away sponsors, just because they are children and under 13?

@ArcticMoon
Please remember my words in other discussion here on Elten:
Rules are not for sponsors. As i said, there should be a package which allows you to bypass rules.
So in this situation sponsors are already bypassing rules in terms of age.
#57 rudolf
yeah, agree.

It shouldn't be like that to be honest. At first, create a normal, well working registration system and then swing the banhammer. It was the same bullshit with User, Me01, shall I continue? He kept creating new accounts, the staff didn't even say a word, and the other hand I couldn't ban him, I was simply unable to do anything to protect other users. The system didn't change to my knowledge, so children are going to come back. It doesn't make sense to ban anyone from this group itself because they create their own conferences and continue there, see Manny and Dominator. It's nonsense to be honest.

In accordance with Polish law, and Elten is subject to Polish law, users of social networking must indeed be over the age of 13. It seems to me that this applies to the entire European Union.
So there must be such a provision in the regulations.
In practice, however, we never drew the consequences associated with it. A person under the age of 13 is technically breaking the law by registering anywhere and should be aware of this. But let's be honest, I myself had a Klango account when I was much younger than 13. This is a pretty dead law as long as there are no other violations.
Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

I mean I'm not in the E U though. I get this applies to Elten though.
